    The recent news that Luminance raised $75M in Series C funding and HappyRobot secured $15.6M in Series A funding (led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Y Combinator) prompted me to check in on how advanced the AI negotiation market has become. It’s already here—and moving fast. While some are still debating whether AI can handle complex negotiations, others are quietly deploying it at scale: 🤖 Luminance & Harvey – AI negotiating contract terms for law firms and enterprises. No more back-and-forth over NDAs and boilerplate clauses. 💰 Pactum AI – AI negotiating procurement deals, especially tail spend. Suppliers get fairer terms, and procurement teams stop drowning in low-value negotiations. 🚢 HappyRobot – AI negotiating freight contracts in the US.     Nibble me this, Batman! 🦇   What can I give everyone that is the same for everyone and potentially different for each person?    Rosie Bailey and her team at Nibble 🤖 are doing cool things with AI based negotiations including adding a level of fun and personalization to the discounting experience that moves abandoned cart functionality to the point of abandonment (not post abandonment). Cart abandonment should be like wilderness first aid...you should definitely know how to use it but it's good not to need it!   I met Rosie Bailey a few years ago and have been cheering for her and the Nibble team ever since. If you haven't checked out Nibble, give it a look; it's pretty cool tech by pretty cool people! And no, I'm not associated with Nibble. In fact, Rosie and I have met twice, maybe three times so I'd selfishly call her a friend because she's way cooler than I and it's always good to have cool friends - a little name dropping, you know, Rosie, investment banker, co-founder of Nibble, London Business School - I totally hung out with her, twice, maybe three times - we're tight!     Negotiation tip: If you don't prepare for success, you won't know what to do when it comes. If there are two things you MUST do in any negotiation: - Always go first (this anchors the negotiation - extremely valuable!) - Prepare, prepare, prepare Think about every eventuality and what you will do if it happens. Preparing for a negotiation, understanding the other side's point of view and what they value, and knowing what YOU value and what you can be more flexible on is going to give you the best results. So that's my negotiation tip for today... What would your 1 negotiation tip be?? I want to hear from my network on this

    Who's planning on implementing AI in procurement this year..? According to an article on Business Wire this week, 90% of procurement leaders plan to adopt AI agents in 2025, aiming to enhance operations and drive value beyond cost savings. Data shows that procurement is successfully cutting costs, but not yet driving measurable ROI. It appears one of the main blockers to implementing AI in procurement is integration concerns or issues - finding AI partners you can work with who make integration as easy as possible is essential. I think embracing AI is set to transform procurement into a more strategic function, directly impacting enterprise profitability - but businesses need to be wiling to embrace change to make it happen.
