🧠 “Is the industry guilty of ignoring the toxic impact of social media on children’s mental health?”. Charlotte Mulley was asked this question by Creativebrief, and in her opinion "as adults, we know how much social media affects us—so for kids, who are still developing, the impact is even greater." Marketing plays a huge role in shaping culture, and brands have the power to create safer, more positive online spaces. But are we taking that responsibility seriously enough? Charlotte thinks we can do more as an industry. 🗞️ See the full article in the comments

Happy to see you came here to learn a little more about us! MullenLowe is a highly creative, integrated communications network committed to always being a challenger. We have talent filled offices in 57 markets around the world. And this is what we believe... In a rapidly changing world, innovative brands grow at twice the pace of their competitors and brands that continue to innovate grow 7x faster. For brands to stay interesting, conversational, and relevant, they need to embrace change. Our icon offers the perfect metaphor. The octopus has survived over 300 million years precisely because of its fluidity and ability to adapt. It is the only organism that routinely self-edits its own DNA - a model for how brands should behave today.

👀 Think your agency is doing everything right? In 9 Things I Hate About You, Ben Shaw lays out the biggest frustrations clients have with agencies—things we might not even realise we’re doing. Here are a few to keep in mind: 1️⃣ Outside thinking is priceless. 2️⃣ Brand is more than marketing. 3️⃣ Clients care deeply, even if they don’t show it. If agencies want to stay relevant, we need to listen, learn, and evolve. 📎 Read the full article in the comments.

A blood stain in sports means you gave it your all. Unless it’s period blood—then it’s shame? Why? 🩸 To change that, Dirt Is Good took the conversation to the streets, because no blood stain should ever be a source of shame. A campaign for athletes, teachers, and even bullies! Period blood is just blood, and no stain is a source of shame. #EveryStainShouldBePartOfTheGame. 🩸 When an athlete plays through gnarly scrapes and bloody noses, the stains are seen as marks of honour – so why are period stains met with shame? We partenered with Unilever Persil to shed light on the fact that 6 out of 10 girls avoid playing sports during their periods because of the fear of stains. To tackle this double standard and remind us #EveryStainShouldBePartOfTheGame, 'Dirt Is Good' is taking the message to athletes, teachers and bullies in a new OOH campaign. As our amazing, Eduardo Salles, Global Creative Director said: “The work for 'Dirt is good' is always about encouraging people to live without the fear of getting dirty. We talk about mud, grass and sweat, but there is still a great deal of stigma around period blood. That’s why we felt that showing real athletes and real blood was essential. More than just an encouraging message, we wanted to inspire young girls with real-life examples of resilience – showing how elite athletes play on through all kinds of stains every day.” Full article on Campaign UK, linked in the comments below. Not all messages of love come from a place of love. This Valentine’s Day, we want to shine a light on coercive language, a form of verbal abuse. This Valentine’s Day, we’re doing something a little different. 💌 We’ve partnered with NO MORE, a charity dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence, to create in a powerful campaign called The Language of Love. We hijacked a holiday that’s all about messages of love and used it to bring awareness to coercive language, a form of verbal and emotional abuse. We hid coercive and threatening statements in a series of cards designed to pastiche Valentine’s Day cards. From cutesy characters to flowing type, our words hid something darker. Our cards have launched in the world on No More's socials and can be seen in various OOH locations in London. Watch this space for more content around this campaign to come. We're proud to put our creativity to such a good cause.
