Awareness of the B Corp name and/or logo amongst the UK public is at just 38% and this is the highest level of recognition worldwide. On top of this, those that have heard of B Corp share a common misconception that the certification measures "environmental practices" (82%) rather than combined "social and environmental practices" (48%). More needs to be done to increase awareness, assisting companies to make meaningful transformations for people, the environment, and the way we do business. Following our recent roundtable discussion with five CMOs, a key theme that appeared was the impact of flat budgets. Rather than viewing this as a limitation, the CMOs mentioned that they "actually love that we need to do more with less because it's creating constant creativity." By embracing constant experimentation and fostering a culture of creativity, we are able to recognise how flat budgets can fuel innovation rather than restrict it.
