We closed the markets today in celebration of International Women’s Day, with a special focus on Women in ETFs. The event opened with remarks from Dame Julia Hoggett, CEO of the London Stock Exchange, followed by an inspirational panel discussion on empowering change, ETFs, and the road to equality. We closed with insights from ETFGI founder, Deborah Fuhr, CFA fellow. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together participants from across the capital markets ecosystem to discuss the importance of diversity in UK capital markets, share personal experiences, and explore ways to better support women in the industry. The Parker Review celebrated its 10th anniversary by opening the Markets for trading this morning. The Parker Review was commissioned by BEIS in 2015 to consult on the ethnic diversity of UK boards, and today announces its 2025 report, marking a decade of progress in improving the ethnic diversity of UK business leadership. David Tyler, Chair of the Parker Review Committee, commented, "It’s the tenth anniversary of the Parker Review following our inception in 2015. The strides made in improving ethnic representation in UK businesses, especially FTSE 350 companies, highlight a significant shift in corporate leadership over the past decade since the Parker Review was first established. We commend companies for their commitment to diversity, which strengthens decision-making and broadens perspectives at the highest levels.
