✨ So often we laude the accomplishments of individuals without recognising the confluence of people and history that have come together to create something truly world class. 🌟 The 25th edition of EQUALL is a powerful testament to this principle. 💫 Without the dedication of our 40 members and volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes, combined with the incredible knowledge fostered and passed down over 25 years, this conference wouldn't have achieved such remarkable success. 👏 As March comes to a close, it's been an incredible month for our Women in Business Club. 🚀 The events of March 5th-7th showcased what becomes possible when passion and purpose align with exceptional teamwork. 💪 While there are many more exciting events on our horizon 📅 and a new leadership team soon to be announced, 🎯 today we pause to commemorate and celebrate our unsung heroes – those whose backstage efforts transformed this milestone conference into the extraordinary production it was. 🏆 Here's to 25 years of breaking barriers, and to the remarkable behind the scenes team that brought everything to life. 🌈 💼 Conference Logistics: Francesca Pinto, Vittoria Golfarini, Carrine Johnson, Mariana Rocca, Christine Ganshof, Marketing: Maria Sanchez Zerillo, Sara Jeffers, Katia Bidoung, Charlotte Barnes, Chiara Noto La Diega, Ana Teresa Campos Sponsorships: Elan Code, Jasmin Hadji, Cindy O., Katarzyna Kudlek, Kelly Wong, Stephanie Colbourne Conference Content: Deb Carey, Clara Best, Jenny Kuo, Manali Amitav, Manvi Goel, Radhika Churiwala, Victoria Clark, P.Eng. The recording from our Trailblazers evening with Roula Khalaf, Editor of the Financial Times is now live! 🎥 A powerful conversation, as the first female and foreign-born Editor of the Financial Times in its 135-year history, Roula shared insights that went far beyond traditional business journalism. Her perspective on leadership resonated with our community - how she's reshaped the FT to tell stories that connect global forces, showing how policy decisions ripple from the U.S. to China, the Middle East, and Africa. "When there's a war, that is the story. Not just the stock market," she said. In turbulent times, her advice on courage in journalism couldn't be more relevant: "Especially in times like this, you need to be bolder and clearer because the risks now are much greater." The conversation touched on everything from AI disruption to gender parity, but what stood out most was her practical wisdom for the next generation: "Careers are marathons, not sprints. You don't have to do everything at once." 🎥 Watch the full fireside chat here: https://lnkd.in/eVEyFpw6 Thank you Roula for joining us as our Trailblazer in this milestone 25th year, adding to the extraordinary legacy alongside Leena Nair, Global CEO of Chanel and Indra Nooyi, Former CEO of PepsiCo. #TrailblazersSeries #Leadership #Journalism London Business School

What a year it's been for the Women in Business Club! 🎉 As we entered our 25th milestone year, our leadership team set ambitious goals to make this anniversary truly special—one that would honor the incredible contribution the Women in Business Club has made to improving gender equity at London Business School and empowering students in their professional journeys. The dream team that made it happen: 64 women and 8 men—72 passionate people who absolutely delivered. This powerhouse Executive Committee supported over 700 active members, connected with our global community of 4,000+ people, grew our social media following by 20%, and delivered 50+ events spanning career development, advocacy, and those essential social connections we all needed. Taking it to the next level: Our Conference and Social teams elevated our annual EQUALL Conference with 30+ incredible speakers, including Baroness Dambisa Moyo, Aline Santos Farhat and Debbie Hewitt MBE. The year culminated in our first-ever Gala Dinner and Ball at the prestigious The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, where we proudly launched our new WiB Access Scholarship. 🎥 Watch the highlights: https://lnkd.in/egSrZ8gb Our beloved Trailblazers series also returned, featuring none other than Roula Khalaf, Editor of the Financial Times—a conversation that showcased what happens when you're unafraid to challenge the status quo and lead with unwavering conviction. None of this magic would have happened without the passion and dedication of so many talented individuals who chose to lift each other up and build something truly meaningful together. A huge congratulations to our team members who graduated last week—you've been incredible! And to those continuing the journey—here's to making the next chapter even more amazing! 💪 #WomenInBusiness #LondonBusinessSchool #25Years #Community #Leadership

When Life Doesn't Go According to Plan: Our Co-President's Story 👶💼 Sometimes the most unexpected challenges become the most defining moments. Here's how our WiB Co-President Ashley Manning navigated an unplanned plot twist during her MBA—and what it taught her about community and resilience 💪 Her honest take on learning to thrive 👇 -------------------------------------------------------------------- “Mom” was not among the job titles I expected to graduate with when I set off for London Business School almost two years ago and yet, I can’t imagine my life without it now. The past few months have been a true bootcamp for growth... multi-tasking, stakeholder management, and crisis resolution have all been taken to a whole new level. This week, after almost six months away, I returned to the classroom for one last time to wrap up this unforgettable MBA chapter. There’s a reason people say it takes a village to raise a child - it truly is nonstop and juggling the MBA, WiB and motherhood would have been impossible without mine. From the LBS friends who've become family to my amazing community in the Women in Business Club, I leave humbled and full of gratitude for the support system you gave me when I most needed it. Most of all, I can't thank Luis Cordova enough for stepping up with calm strength and unwavering patience. Thanks for being a genuine partner, believing in me, and pushing me to pursue my dreams— even when things felt uncertain. Here's to our next chapter!

What Really Happens When You Join London Business School's Women in Business Club? 💼✨ This honest reflection from our WiB Senior ExCo member Shivani Rajagopal reveals the surprising ways that getting involved changed her MBA experience—from unexpected friendships 👭 to discovering what leadership really means 🚀 Here's what she learned along the way 👇 --------------------------------------------------------------------- When I joined London Business School two years ago, I knew I wanted to be part of the Women in Business (WiB) Club. I’d previously worked with women’s affinity groups and found them to be spaces of genuine support, palpable energy, and joy. Naturally, I applied to be on the WiB ExCo in my first year. When I didn’t get in, I was honestly disappointed. I felt like I had something to contribute and was missing the opportunity to do so. I was wrong. Even though I wasn’t on the ExCo, I stayed connected. I attended events, followed the buzz, and saw the impact the club created across campus. I interacted with ExCo members and showed support wherever possible. What stood out to me most was how invested the ExCo members were. They weren’t just organizing events for their resumes, they cared. And that was incredibly admirable. When I applied again in year two and made it onto the ExCo, I was excited. Excited to finally give back, to help incoming students, and be part of something purposeful. But what I didn’t anticipate was how deeply fulfilling the experience would be. The group of women I got to work alongside? Simply phenomenal. Driven, sharp, opinionated in the best ways possible but also warm, fun, and endlessly supportive. The bar was high, but so was the camaraderie. Everyone was running their own race, setting their own pace and still showing up for each other. No one’s getting paid in an Exco role, and most people don’t even know who’s behind the scenes making the magic happen. But the sense of support from the ExCo, the broader club, and especially the co-presidents is what fuelled us to keep showing up and doing more. It’s a rare thing, to be surrounded by powerhouse women who push you to be your best and still make room for giggles and girly chats. Every ExCo meeting and event left me feeling uplifted. Being part of WiB has been a highlight of my MBA journey. I’ve met women I deeply admire and built connections I’ll carry with me long after LBS. If you’re a student considering joining WiB, whether as an ExCo member or just by volunteering your time, I couldn’t recommend it more. WiB gives you the space to shape your own contribution. You get to define what leadership looks like for you. You learn what drives you. And most importantly, you become part of a community that leaves you better than it found you.

What a milestone to celebrate! 🥂 Last week, the Women in Business Club at London Business School marked our 25th Anniversary in quintessential British fashion with a memorable Champagne Afternoon Tea, bringing together the threads that weave our community together - current students and our incredible alumni network. Founded in 2000 with the mission of increasing gender equity in business education, our club has grown from advocating for change when women represented just 21% of our cohorts to celebrating near gender parity today. It's been an extraordinary journey, and one that continues. We were honored to hear from remarkable women who embody the spirit of our mission: 💪 Ashley Manning, our outgoing Co-President, shared a moving reflection that captured the heart of our mission. Having started her career as the only woman in her mining department, Ashley spoke about discovering "the magic behind building sorority in the workplace, and what a powerhouse we could build when women worked and supported each other." Her words reminded us all that there's something truly special about the girlfriends you make while building your careers together - and that this community will transcend our time at LBS. 🌟 Vimmi Singh (Class of 2000), our dedicated Advisory Board Member, shared powerful reflections on witnessing this transformation firsthand - from those early days of 21% representation to the inclusive environment we see today. 🤝 Catherine Gabela, who leads our LBS AWIB (Alumni Women in Business), reminded us how integral these alumni relationships are as our current students transition into the next chapter of their careers, and how this community should continue to transcend our lives beyond business school. 🚀 Frederike Cardello outlined her vision for strengthening alumni strategy and rebuilding those vital connections that were challenged during the pandemic years. Thank you to our alumni partnerships team Mara Stutzman, Frederike Cardello, Oriane Lesiak and our incoming Chief Financial Officer Abigail Reed who diligently persevered and designed to perfection this beautiful celebration that concluded our 25th anniversary year. As a leading club in Europe and proud member of the Women Societies Alliance, we know that creating lasting change requires more than individual success - it demands community. Together, we champion gender equity and support each other through the unique challenges women face in business. Here's to 25 years of progress, and to the next 25 years of breaking barriers together. #WomenInBusiness #LondonBusinessSchool #GenderEquity #Alumni #Leadership #Community #WhyiloveLBS Ramsey Sargent Rachel Clarke Ash Booth Ph.D. Luisa Alemany Aneeta Rattan
