CZ Suggests Immediate CEX Listings, Raising Market Concerns 🔥 CEX Listing Process Is Broken—CZ Calls for Immediate Listings! CZ: The Current CEX Listing Process Is Flawed Former Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has criticized centralized exchanges (CEXs) for their token listing process, arguing that the delay between announcement and listing creates an unfair market. He pointed out that in the four-hour window before Binance lists a token, its price surges on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), only to be dumped once it goes live on CEXs. In the past, CZ emphasized “a large number of users” as a key factor for listing. However, with the rapid increase in token launches, speculation on DEXs has overshadowed long-term project development. DEX vs. CEX: The Liquidity and Speculation Battle • DEX Listings Are Easy: No approvals required—just create a liquidity pool and list the token. • CEX Offers Market Depth: With over $165 billion in daily volume, CEXs provide greater exposure and liquidity. • VC Influence on Listings: Major exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken have their own venture capital arms, often giving preferential treatment to VC-backed projects, creating an imbalance in the market. Market Challenges: Token Flood, Liquidity Shortages In 2024, over 1.4 million new tokens are launched each month, a massive increase from tens of thousands in 2021. Solana alone has seen 29 million token launches, yet liquidity is not keeping pace, making it harder for valuable projects to stand out.
