The 2025 ALTi Global Social Progress Index is out! 📢 This year, the United Kingdom ranks 20th globally in social progress, with a score of 85.76. While the UK remains in Tier 1, there are areas where progress has slowed or declined. The ALTi Index provides a broad overview, but understanding what’s driving these numbers at a local level is key to making informed decisions. 🔍 Want to explore social progress in the UK beyond national rankings? Place Insight provides granular data, breaking down local social progress trends to help decision-makers take targeted action in their communities. 🔗 See the full ALTi Global Index results here: https://lnkd.in/ez6PDiq 📊 Dive deeper into local insights with Place Insight: https://lnkd.in/eTSstgUv #SocialProgress #DataForImpact #PlaceInsight #UK #PolicyMaking #CommunityDevelopment

🎉 Congratulations to our board member Michael Green and the team at Social Progress Imperative for launching the 2025 AlTi Global Social Progress Index! 🌎🚀 This year’s Index tracks social progress across 170 countries and 57 indicators, shedding light on key areas like housing, health, rights, and education. The findings show that global social progress has stagnated since the Covid crisis, underscoring the urgent need for data-driven solutions. 📊 To find out more about the global results, explore the 2025 Index here: https://lnkd.in/dVgtX8Se
The 2025 AlTi Global Social Progress Index is live! 🌎 It measures and tracks the performance of 170 countries across 57 drivers of social progress, including housing, health, rights, and education, over 14 years. The findings reveal that after a decade of steady growth, social progress has stagnated since the onset of the Covid crisis. The Index not only identifies critical areas of need but also highlights where the world has made improvements since 2011. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with AlTi Tiedemann Global in developing the 2025 Index. This year’s report explores the opportunities for private capital to drive recovery and make a tangible difference to some of the world’s biggest challenges. Congratulations to the 18 staff at Wokingham Borough Council who completed our bespoke "Citizen-led Impact" (CLI) programme! The CLI programme is part of our #policy lifecycle training where we support staff to use a #data-driven evidence base to design informed interventions alongside the local #community. The staff went through a rigorous research development process based on cohorts of the population where #earlyintervention opportunities would improve outcomes. Thank you to the #leadership team at the council who supported their teams on their ideas as well as create the capacity and time for officers to design and implement them. https://lnkd.in/gUps368m

Our friends at Socitm publish another excellent #DigitalTrends report: https://lnkd.in/ePs6yCec Great to see #harnessingdata for People and Place as key focus. We're particularly supportive of (amongst many) the guidance for Public Sector Leaders: 1) Use new data insights and analytics tools to navigate complex environments and build best practice examples for others. 2) Use data to be #storytellers, using evidence-based narrative to persuade all to action. We've enjoyed working with Socitm members Wokingham Borough Council, Luton Borough Council, Lichfield District Council, Leeds City Council and Croydon Council over the past year to help get the best value out of #data. Do take a look at the wealth of useful information and knowledge that Socitm make available on their Knowledge Hub! 📔
