🌟What an incredible afternoon at this year's Financial Crime Forum 🌟 🗣️ The day was kicked off by our own Andrew Ninian and Karl Sammie, Cert Prac(MLRO) FICA at Fundsmith LLP UK setting the tone for the Forum. 🏛️ Fran Dowling, UK Home Office, followed up with a keynote speech of the UK’s fraud policy direction and the government’s enforcement focus for 2026. 🤝 The first panel of the day covered the practical impact of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) and the role of Single Points of Contact (SPoC) in enabling secure, efficient information sharing, featuring Beth Harris, Financial Conduct Authority, Laura Lehane, AJ Bell, and Jacob Koree, Novatus Global. 📘 Another panel followed on changes to money laundering regulations, featuring Carol Smit, The Joint Money Laundering Steering Group, Christopher Robinson, Freshfields, and John Clarke, Schroders. 🌍 Next up, a presentation from Graham Peachey, Home Office and FATF Project Lead, on how Citizenship by Investment programmes are exploited by criminals and what firms must do to detect and mitigate these risks. ⚠️ The final session was a panel on emerging risks and AI-enabled crime, moderated by our own James King and featuring Amar Patel, Fundsmith LLP UK, Christina Leo, Howden, and the IA's Adrian Hood.
