🚨 Arrests made in AI-generated abusive material 🚨 Today, Europol, the European Union's law enforcement agency, announced that 25 people had been arrested in a global operation over #AI-generated child sexual abuse material. Catherine Nicholls reports for CNN that the operation, "Operation Cumberland," was led by Danish law enforcement in one of the world's first cases involving AI-generated child abuse material. The operation spnned 19 countries and included a number of European countries as well as Australia and New Zealand. Nearly 273 suspects have been identified and more arrests are expected in coming weeks. Those individuals already arrested were part of a criminal group. Europol stated, "These artificially generated images are so easily created that they can be produced by individuals with criminal intent, even without substantial technical knowledge."
