Energy flexibility isn’t just about building a smarter grid. It’s about creating a fairer, cleaner future for everyone. By shifting energy use to off-peak times, households can cut costs while easing pressure on the grid. Smart tariffs, home batteries, and other flexible technologies make it easier to save money without compromising comfort. For households facing fuel poverty, those savings can have a meaningful impact. But to unlock the full potential of flexibility, these solutions must be accessible to everyone. With the right policies and support in place, we can make energy work better for everyone. • Congratulations to the England Men’s team on a great performance against Panama. 👏 Performances on this stage shine a light on the importance of football at every level, from local clubs through to the national team. Together with The Football Association, we’re supporting the Greener Game - helping grassroots clubs to become more sustainable, inclusive and resilient for the future of football. #GreenerGame

  • As proud partners of The Football Association, we're wishing the England Men’s team success as they go head-to-head with Panama. Whilst the spotlight shines brightest on the world stage, the future of football is built far closer to home. That’s exactly why England Football's Greener Game programme matters. It’s not just about what happens in stadiums seen by millions. It’s about protecting and strengthening the community clubs that nurture talent, create opportunity and bring people together every single day. This summer celebrates football’s finest players, but every one of their stories started in grassroots football ⚽. #GreenerGame

  • At a time when some are scaling back on DEI, the wider picture shows why sustained commitment matters more than ever. Across Europe, ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Map highlights a mixed and, in some places, regressing landscape for LGBTQ+ rights — with progress in some countries offset by rollbacks and growing pressure in others. And in UK workplaces, Onvero's State of Inclusion Report shows that while 9 in 10 organisations say they prioritise DEI, far fewer have truly embedded it in everyday culture. That’s why at E.ON, our focus is on long-term, practical action. Our 2025 Inclusion Report sets out the progress we’re making to build a workplace where everyone feels they belong. Inclusion isn’t separate from our core mission; it’s fundamental to delivering a cleaner, fairer and more affordable energy future. From expanding access to green skills and apprenticeships, to strengthening inclusive policies that reflect real lives, we’re focused on creating opportunities across the communities we serve. Because when people feel valued and supported, we deliver better outcomes — for our colleagues, our customers and society as a whole. https://lnkd.in/e_Mr63mK #inclusion #DEI #InclusiveWorkplace Callum Lovett

  • We’re proud to see our internal Fertility Forum network shortlisted for ‘Outstanding Wellness Network’ at the Employee Network Awards 2026. 👏 The Fertility Forum is one of our nine employee inclusion networks, dedicated to supporting colleagues on their fertility journey. By sharing stories, signposting resources, and fostering understanding, they help reduce isolation and create a more compassionate, flexible workplace. We’re also pleased to be shortlisted for ‘Best Network Initiative 2026’ for our Unlimited Paid Fertility Leave policy — a reflection of our commitment to turning awareness into meaningful action. At E.ON, advocating for fertility matters because creating a truly inclusive workplace means supporting colleagues through life’s most personal challenges. #Fertility #Inclusion #LifeAtEON

  • Through our Strategic Energy Partnership with Coventry City Council, we’ve submitted plans to install solar panels on 15 schools across the city, helping them to generate up to 60% of their electricity needs. This is a practical example of how clean energy can deliver real impact: 🔹 Reducing energy costs for schools, freeing up funding for education 🔹 Cutting carbon emissions and supporting local climate goals 🔹 Creating opportunities for local suppliers, jobs and skills. Backed by government funding, this is just the start of a wider programme to support more sustainable, energy-efficient school buildings across Coventry. • New research today from King's College London suggests that almost one in five fathers who currently work from home would consider leaving their job if required to return to the office full-time, highlighting just how important flexibility has become for working families. At E.ON, we believe flexible working isn't a perk – it's a foundation for helping people thrive both at work and at home. That's why we're proud to offer flexible working from day one, with more than half of our colleagues benefiting from flexible arrangements, alongside a blended approach to home and office working where roles allow Supporting families means more than flexibility alone. Our policies include equal parent leave, support for adoption, surrogacy and fertility journeys, neonatal care leave, pregnancy loss support, job-sharing opportunities and dedicated colleague networks for working families. We're especially proud that this commitment was recognised last year at the Working Dads Employer Awards, where we received awards for both Leadership and Culture and Flexible Working at a ceremony in the Houses of Parliament. The awards celebrate employers that are helping fathers play a greater role in childcare while advancing gender equality in the workplace. As conversations continue around return-to-office policies, we believe organisations achieve the best outcomes when they trust their people, recognise the realities of modern family life and create environments where everyone can succeed. Yesterday was #InternationalWomenInEngineeringDay, a moment to celebrate the women who are lighting the way for the next generation. 💡 We had the opportunity to spend time out on the road with Emily, one of our apprentices. Hearing about her day-to-day role, the challenges she’s tackled, and what it’s like working in an engineering environment was genuinely inspiring. What stood out most was her confidence and enthusiasm for the work, clear proof that the future of engineering is in safe hands when we create the right opportunities and environments. One of the many things that im extremely proud of here at E.ON is the support we provide in developing people and supporting apprentices across our business, it’s moments like this that really reinforce why it matters. A big thank you to Emily and the Team for sharing and supporting her story and representing what’s possible. #INWED2026 #WomenInEngineering #Apprenticeships #EON

  • If we want a cleaner, more affordable energy system, we need to start in our classrooms. As we scale clean energy, we need a pipeline of skilled, diverse talent ready to design, deliver and maintain the systems of the future. That means embedding green skills and energy literacy much earlier, and ensuring access is inclusive for all young people. In Education News, Matthew Saxton shares how hands-on learning with students helps make the energy transition tangible and relevant. It’s a powerful reminder that early engagement is key to building the skills, confidence and ambition the sector needs. At E.ON, we believe policy and industry must work together to: • Strengthen the link between education and employment • Expand access to high-quality, curriculum-linked green skills programmes • Ensure every young person can see a future for themselves in clean energy. Initiatives like our New Energy Academy show what’s possible but scaling this impact will require sustained collaboration across government, education and industry. Because delivering the energy transition will depend on the workforce we build today.
