Financial Reporting Council has today published the TAC’s final recommendations for endorsement of the IFRS Foundation Sustainability Disclosure Standards S1 and S2 for use in the UK. Minor recommended amendments include: ** extending the 'climate first' reporting relief from one to two years ** suggesting the development of guidance on implementing IFRS S1 to clarify how entities can align this standard with existing sustainability-related disclosure requirements under the current UK legal framework. Following the development of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) guidance, many businesses are concentrating on nature transition planning. With increasing demands and requirements for #sustainabilityassurance, the Financial Reporting Council has studies how well the UK sustainability assurance market is functioning.
