As a Foundation, we are proud to nominate and support 20 Foundation governors who make huge contributions to our two fantastic schools Central Foundation Girls' School Central Foundation Boys School. Our CEO Sarah Gosling reflected ‘I’ve been a charity trustee and involved with non-profit boards since my late 20s but it’s only in the last three years I’ve seen inside the role of school governors and I have such admiration and gratitude for the commitment they make alongside the staff teams to give the next generation the chance to fulfil their potential.’ #NationalSchoolGovernorsAwarenessDay

The Foundation was delighted to support Central Foundation Girls' School to host this session with Gerald Dowler JP for Year 12 and 13 law students, offering insights into the world of magistrates and law in action in the world.

We'll be meeting for our final Board meeting of 2024 later today. It's been quite a year for the Board and the Foundation overall and we'll be reflecting, celebrating and planning what comes next. Celebrating Our Governance Last month, Trustees’ Week gave us an opportunity to shine a spotlight on five of our wonderful trustees Dami A, CFA Amandeep Rehlon Mike Yershon Tom Doherty Hilary Evenett and we also welcomed a number of new board members including Ewelina Lacey Andreas Gaitzsch It is the conclusion of a 2-year journey which has created a step-change in how the Foundation works, including our governance. We want to continue to provide an excellent and enriching environment for our students and we can't wait to look forward tonight's meeting. MP Emily Thornberry visited Central Foundation Schools in London to engage with students. Over 40 A-Level Law and Politics students from Central Foundation Girls' School and Central Foundation Boys School participated in the event. The the Labour MP for Islington South and Finsbury shared her experiences studying law at university, becoming a barrister, and pursuing a career in politics. The session also included a lively question-and-answer segment with the students. This visit was made possible by the inter-school Events Programme, which is currently in its pilot year and is funded by Central Foundation Schools for London. #careers #StudentOpportunities #education #politics #law
