We recently organized a comprehensive training session for the #EmpowerYOU participants in Lira City, facilitated by representatives from Uganda Registration Services Bureau URSB and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA). The session equipped participants with practical knowledge and tools to formalize their businesses and comply with tax regulations. Key Focus Areas of the Session: 📌 Business Formalization – Participants were guided through the step-by-step process of business registration and the benefits of becoming a legally recognized enterprise. 📌 Tax Filing & Record-Keeping – The session provided insights into tax obligations, proper financial record-keeping, and how compliance can help businesses avoid penalties while improving financial management. 📌 Tax Incentives – Entrepreneurs also learned about the various tax benefits available to MSEs and how they can leverage these incentives to reduce costs and improve profitability. Yesterday, I wrapped up an insightful journey at the Digital Marketing Skills Program Bootcamp at Mbarara University of Science & Technology! I had the opportunity to lead two days of sessions on #DigitalMarketing Strategy, where I emphasized that success wasn’t about having the biggest budget—it was about having the right strategy. It was amazing to engage with young entrepreneurs and professionals from my Alma mater, eager to sharpen their digital marketing skills. As the Bootcamp ended, I am confident they walked away with practical, real-world insights to make a real impact in the digital space. A big thank you to Mbarara University of Science & Technology, StartHub Africa and MUST/IUC UCoBS Subproject 5, and everyone who made this possible!
