According to the IT Research Ukraine study, developed by IT Arena’s founding organizer, Lviv IT Cluster, as of 2024, there were 302,000 tech specialists working in the Ukrainian tech industry. Of those, 238,000 continue to live and work in Ukraine despite the war. Key findings from the study: 📌 Tech market in Ukraine: There are 2,118 verified active tech companies in Ukraine. 50% of them are service-based, with 47% focusing on outsourcing and 3% on outstaffing. 📌 Age & gender: The average age of tech professionals is 31.5 years, with 60% men and 40% women in the industry. 📌 Company types: The share of specialists working in product companies & startups has grown to 36.4%, while service companies now account for 44.2%. 📌 Education: Nearly 50% of tech professionals hold or are pursuing a technical degree. However, 39.2% have transitioned into tech from non-tech backgrounds (up from 35.6% in 2023). 📌 AI adoption: More specialists are using AI tools to boost efficiency and automate routine tasks. 👉🏻 The full study is available at itcluster.lviv.ua
