CBS‘ potential spinoff of The Equalizer is beginning to take shape: Titus Welliver (Bosch) and Juani Feliz (Harlem) have been cast in an upcoming episode of Queen Latifah’s hit procedural, Variety reports, with the possibility of both returning if the backdoor pilot is picked up to series.
Welliver’s character, Hudson Reed, is connected to Latifah’s Robin McCall through an old mentor, but there’s more to the “former CIA operative with a dark secret” than meets the eye. Feliz will play his daughter Samantha, who was trained by Hudson in martial arts, weaponry and the ability to blend in like a chameleon — while apparently “hiding a mysterious past.”
Both characters are expected to be introduced in Episode 16 of The Equalizer‘s current fifth season.
Welliver currently stars as Harry Bosch on Bosch: Legacy, which returns to Prime Video for its third and final season this spring. He previously portrayed the character on Bosch, which ran for seven seasons (2014–2021) on Prime Video. In addition to playing Lex Luthor on Max’s Titans, Welliver’s extensive TV credits include memorable roles on Disney+’s The Mandalorian, TNT’s The Last Ship, ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., USA Network’s White Collar, FX’s Sons of Anarchy, HBO’s Deadwood and more.
Best known for playing Isabela on eight episodes of Prime Video’s Harlem, Feliz’s TV resume also includes recurring roles on ABC’s The Rookie: Feds, AMC’s Fleishman Is in Trouble, CBS’ Blue Bloods and NBC’s Shades of Blue. Additional credits include episodes of CBS’ NCIS: Hawai’i, ABC’s The Good Doctor, Starz’s Power and NBC’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

I’d watch it!
I’d watch anything Titus Welliver is in!!!
Me too! I’d definitely watch it. Hopefully this backdoor pilot works and we get whatever this father/daughter series would be about for the 2025-2026 season.
i’d watch this one
Happy for Juani!
Seripusly? Please, please stop ordering spinoffs to series just for the sake of it, because with space on your primetime schedule being as tight as it is right now, CBS will be forced to cancel the wrong shows to make room for such spinoffs. You’re really not learning your lesson from NCIS: Hawaii, because you had to cut that one loose despite its Top-20 viewership beating other CBS shows that were renewed for the following season.
What an exciting development, please let this new proposed series be for real!!! Love Titus!!!!
Why is a show that was almost cancelled last year getting a spin off?
Uh to go from the outstanding Bosch to the very below average Equalizer world would be such a come down for Titus Welliver, wish he was continuing in Bosch :(
