Elon Musk and David Sacks commented on a CNN segment about a 19-year-old known online as "big b***s," who is now working as an expert in Musk's department of government efficiency (DOGE).
Sacks shared a screenshot from CNN's chyron, which read, "DOGE Teen, known as 'big b***s' now a government expert." He wrote, "Someone actually had to type this into the CNN chyron."
Musk responded to Sacks’s post with laughing emojis. He also posted separately on his X handle, saying, "This was actually on TV," followed by three laughing emojis.
The CNN segment focused on Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old who has been appointed as a government expert in Musk’s DOGE. Coristine is known online under the name "big b***s."
Who is Edward Coristine?
According to reports, Coristine is the youngest staff member at DOGE. Over the past four years, he has established at least five companies, with registrations in Connecticut, Delaware, and the United Kingdom. In 2022, he briefly worked at Path Network, a company known for employing reformed hackers.
A report by Wired said that one of Coristine’s companies, Tesla.Sexy LLC, was founded in 2021 when he was 16. This company manages multiple web domains, including Russian-registered sites. One of these, still active, offers "Helfie," an AI bot for Discord servers targeting Russian users.
Before joining DOGE, Coristine spent several months working at Musk’s Neuralink brain implant startup in 2024. Currently, he is listed in the Office of Personnel Management records as an expert at the agency. Reports suggest that he participated in calls where General Services Administration employees had to justify their roles.
Coristine was a freshman engineering major at Northeastern University before moving to DOGE. While his political views are unclear, his friends describe him as highly passionate. A source close to Coristine told The Huntington News, Northeastern’s student newspaper, that he sees Musk as an entrepreneurial genius and has been inspired by his work. They confirmed that Musk was the teenager’s “idol.”
