Doug Emhoff refused to shake hands with a man who earlier snubbed Kamala Harris.
Doug Emhoff, it seems, does not forget those who misbehave with his wife Kamala Harris. Ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, Emhoff refused a handshake from Bruce Fischer, the husband of Sen. Den Fischer (R-NE) because he did not shake Kamala Harris's hand during the oath ceremony.
The awkward moment between Kamala Harris and Fischer's husband went viral as Harris said, "I'm not going to bite, don't worry". They were standing in the old Senate chamber for the traditional oath and family photo with the vice president.

"Congratulations. Thank you for your work," Kamala Harris told the senator.
"May I give congratulations to you?" Kamala Harris said turning to her husband.
As the video of the awkward moment went viral, it was seen that Bruce was holding a cane in one hand and the Bible for his wife's swearing-in in the other but that does not mitigate the tension of the moment.
"Why would you try to shake my hand when you wouldn't;t shake my wife's hand?" Doug Emhoff told Bruce at the ceremonial tea in the White House. The Fischers were also there because the senator served as Trump's inauguration co-chair.
A CNN report confirmed that neither the senator nor Kamala Harris was involved in the little argument that the two husbands had. Bruce Fischer, reportedly, made his way back over to apologize and when they were heading to the car to go to the Capitol where the inauguration event took place, things settled down between the two husbands and they were conversing about many things including golf.
