The latest episode featured Delhi-based startup Trajectory which belongs to an ergonomic comfort products industry. Established by former product developers Raghav Mahajan and Himanshu Verma, the company started with just a single sleeping bag. The founders recently appeared on Shark Tank India 4, seeking Rs 1 crore for a 2% equity stake, piquing the interest of the sharks. As soon as Raghav and Himanshu finished their pitch, Anupam Mittal questioned the necessity of featuring on Shark Tank India, given the wide availability of similar products in the market.
He said, "Yaar mera first reaction doon kya? Thoda bura lagega aapko. Ye kya leke aagaye ho? And why are you here on Shark Tank? Itni commodities cheez hai harr airport par, online, sab jagah ye cheezein milti hai and one is cheaper than the other. Samajh nahi aata which one is better and which is not? Toh iski kyu dukaan lagaye ho aap? Mujhe toh dekh ke he lag raha hai what the hell are you pitching?"
Raghav tries to explain that they are present almost at 10+ airports across India. He even shares that Trajectory manufacture products for other brands as well and he tries to convince the Sharks by giving Red Bulls example but they don't look convinced and Anupam calls it baseless. Defending their vision, Raghav and Himanshu emphasized that Trajectory is more than just a commodity, it’s a brand built on innovation and customer-centric comfort solutions.
The Sharks inquire about their backgrounds, and as Raghav begins narrating the story of their friendship and how they launched the brand, Anupam Mittal interrupts midway, urging him to wrap it up. Namita Thapar inquired about the brand’s unique value proposition. Raghav’s attempts at humor fail to impress the Sharks, who advise him to drop the rehearsed lines, warning that it could weaken their pitch. The Sharks also accuse him of dodging the important questions. Anupam loses his calm and says, "Baatein mat ghumao yaar, sidhe directly jawab do." However, they impress the Sharks with their numbers. Ritesh points out Trajectory's logo having similarities with Tesla.
Aman is the first one to back out as he feels their product is just a commodity due to the lack of branding. However, when Raghav again tries to add some philosophy into the pitch, Aman gets irritated and asks him to write books. Anupam gets frustrated and slams him saying, "Arre bhai tum kavi ho, businessman ho, chod do yaar ye sab baatein."
Anupam was very critical of Raghav and later Namita also gets irked. She says, "Hum aapko A poochte hain toh aap B bolte ho, B poochte hain toh aap C bolte ho, toh woh confidence nahi deta investors ko, ke aap mein focus nahi hai." Namita and Anupam also back out.
Ritesh shares some inputs with Raghav and Himanshu and offers them a deal. Peyush also offers them a deal but on one condition. He asks Himanshu to control Raghav's energy and stubbornness. He offers a deal of Rs 1 crore of 5 percent Equity + 2 percent of Royalty until Rs 1 crore is recouped. However, after intense negotiations, Trajectory finally secured a deal with shark Ritesh Agarwal— Rs 50 lakhs for 3 percent equity, plus Rs 50 lakhs in debt at 8 percent interest.
Expressing their excitement, the founders Raghav and Himanshu shared, "We're thrilled to have partnered with Ritesh Agarwal on Shark Tank India 4. Our experience on the show was incredible, and we're grateful for the opportunity to showcase our comfort products to a wider audience and build awareness for the need to take care of one's health and comfort in everyday life. Shark Ritesh’s deep understanding of our business and his willingness to support our vision will help us take Trajectory to the next level and make our products more accessible across India.”
