Host
Amitabh Bachchan praises her thought process towards her short film themes and says, “Many don’t think the way you think in today’s generation. It is very encouraging.”
Her question for Rs 1000 is: The number of days in which month changes in a leap year? A. January, B. February, C. March, D. April.
Big B asks the meaning of meaning of her name, to which the contestant replies, “It is a Sanskrit word, which means Mahalakshmi.” Big B responds, “Mahalakshmi ji aayi hai lakshmi jeetne. Kya zarurat thi yaha aane, mahalakshmi hai aap.”
Big B asks, “In Bengal, apart from studies, culturally they are very involved. What did you learn?” Yubasana replied, “I have been associated with group theatre. I have learnt music and theatre since Class 2.” Big B then requests her to sing a song. Yubasana sings a Rabindra Sangeet.
Her Super Sawaal is: In which city’s Dashashwamedh Ghat, built in the 18th century, can you witness the Ganga Aarti? She correctly answers Varanasi and wins Dugnaastra.
Yubasana shares that she mostly wants to work on films breaking social prejudices and the caste system. Replying to her thoughts, Big B said, “Casteism is an age old problem and it is saddening to see how it still exists. Specially, when the Census team comes, apart from all the details, they ask about your caste too. I told them our father never told us. They said ‘kuch toh likhna padega’, and I said ‘write Indian’. We need to break this caste system. Films are a great way where you get such poetic justice. In films, in 3 hours you will get poetic justice and my father taught us this. In his old age, he was sick and he would tell us to show us a film. Everyday he would watch one film, sometimes, he would watch the same film on repeat. I asked him what he would get. He told me you wouldn’t get this poetic justice anywhere else but only in films. Your thinking is like that and I like it.”
The game continues with Yubasana.
