Do you think marriage for an actor is a setback in one career? If you believe marriage will hold back your career, then it will. But if you’re clear about your goals, what you want to achieve, and where you want to go, nothing can stop you. Things have changed—what was once seen as a setback isn’t anymore. Men today understand that women have their own careers, and they support them, just as women have supported men for generations. Marriage is a choice now, not a compulsion like it used to be. And with social media in the picture, actors aren’t limited to just the big or small screens anymore—they can be on every single mobile screen if they want to. So, to answer your question—NO, marriage is not a setback in an actor’s career anymore.
A music video why this is a come back choice and not a show or series ?Music videos are in. And I got to share the screen space with the legendary Kumar Sanu and a famous Bollywood singer like Akriti Kakar. I couldn’t have asked for a better comeback. I’m very picky with the kind of roles I do and the kind of projects I become a part of. I thought this was the perfect opportunity for me to get back into the business with a bang.
Web series or TV shows your loyalty is towards which medium?I would have to say TV because I started there and whatever little I’ve been able to achieve in my life is because of TV. Having said that as an actor I believe in growth and experiencing different mediums as well for creative satisfaction. I’m yet to experience the web but I have a feeling that it will happen very soon for me.
Did you get a chance to meet Kumar Sanu and Akriti Kakar if yes any incident you can recall which stood out?Yes, of course! Akriti and I live in the same building, so we’ve met a few times at her place for creative discussions about the music video. I met Kumar Sanu at the studio while we were shooting. We even had lunch together—Akriti had brought some delicious homemade food for all of us. Sanu da enjoyed it so much that he joked he might have to skip dinner that day! Akriti also shared a fun story from their Sa Re Ga Ma Pa days, saying that fans would line up outside the set with dabbas of food just for him, and they would feast while shooting
Will this year mark your comeback on screen in any show or series? This music video marks the beginning of my comeback. After a long break, I’m back, and I have no plans to pause or slow down again. So yes, you’ll be seeing me on your screens very soon.
