Exclusive- Durga fame Indira Krishnan reacts to Ranveer Allahbadia's controversial statement in India's Got Latent; says 'Even if it's a mistake it's a very big statement'
In a recent episode of the YouTube show India's Got Latent, podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, posed an inappropriate question to a contestant: "Would you rather watch your parents have s*x every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?"
This remark led to widespread criticism and backlash on social media. In response, Allahbadia issued a public apology, stating, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate; it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry."
Reacting to the same, actress Indira Krishnan exclusively shared her point of view with Times Of India TV, "Very disheartening to know what we are promoting to youth. However, I don't have the right to judge anyone's thoughts because we all consider that we live in a democratic country which allows us freedom of speech. But we need to understand the words we are educating our youth and country. What matters to me personally is respect and I'm sure most of us in fact, all of us respect our parents' privacy and freedom of speech."
She further quipped, "It is shocking as I would definitely ask if he does what he preaches. Even if it's a mistake it's a very big statement which cannot be even thought about, let us even if we promote humour it should not be promoted this way. Hoping our country's influences give good thoughts and good social messages to our youth."
Following the incident, a complaint was filed in a Mumbai court seeking a police investigation against Allahbadia and others involved in the episode, including host Samay Raina. The All Indian Cine Workers Association also demanded strict action and called for an immediate ban on the show.

The incident has sparked discussions about the boundaries of humor and the responsibilities of content creators in maintaining sensitivity towards their audience.
