There have been some emotional revelations made by the celebs in the kitchen. Usha Nadkarni recently spoke about her brother's demise while Gaurav shared that he was colourblind.
During the fond memories episode, Nikki Tamboli broke down in tears seeing her brother's picture, "I lost my brother during COVID, due to multiple organ failure. Honestly, we have not come out of it and maybe we would never come out of the loss. I really miss him every day. I don't cry in front of my parents
During a team challenge, Gaurav got candid about his journey as an actor, coming from a corporate background. He said, 'Absolutely sir, but today I was confident about my dish. I have always lived my life like this. I was in corporate and I became an actor. Log sab haste the ki MBA kar ke actor bann raha hai. I didn't even have a portfolio, but by god's grace, it has been 18 years in this industry and I have done 20 shows on TV. I am a go-getter and if I have confidence, I won't leave it.'
When Gaurav cooked prawn in the MasterChef Kitchen, he revealed that he was colour blind, "Mujhe pata nai kaise ban raha hai. Sirf colour se karna hai lekin problem yeh hai ki mei colour blind hu. Kahi log jante hai aur kahi log nai jante yeh baat ko. Yeh hoh gaya hai kya. Mei khata nai hu prawns. Kuch log jante hain ki mujhe colour blindness ka problem hai"
Usha Tai got extremely emotional during the festival episode when she spoke about her brother's demise, “My son lives with my brother, and before that, he stayed with my mother. Since I have always been working in theatre, films, and television, I never got the chance to stay at home with my family. My elder brother passed away on June 30, 2024, and this year, I lost my younger brother as well. He was my life, and I miss him every single day.”
When Dipika impressed the judges with her first dish, she got emotional sharing how she represents all those women who are tagged as housewives, “Main aaj unhe represent karti ho jinhe ye bolke dabaya jata hain, ‘aree kitchen main toh khana hi banani hain.’ Haan, hu main home cook. (Today, I represent those women who are suppressed by taunts like ‘you only have to cook in the kitchen.’ Yes, I am a home cook).”
