The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the 18th edition of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The tournament will kick off on March 22, 2025, and conclude with the final on May 25, 2025. A total of 74 matches will be played across 13 venues, including 12 double-headers. Afternoon matches will begin at 3:30 PM IST, while evening matches will start at 7:30 PM IST.
The tournament will open with a high-voltage clash between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 22, 2025.
The first double-header day will be on March 23, 2025, with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) facing Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Hyderabad in the afternoon, followed by a blockbuster evening clash between five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will begin their campaigns against each other in Visakhapatnam on March 24, 2025. Meanwhile, the world’s largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, will host its first match on March 25, 2025, where Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Three IPL teams will play their home matches at two different venues:
  • Delhi Capitals (DC): Visakhapatnam & Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi
  • Rajasthan Royals (RR): Guwahati (two matches against KKR & CSK) & Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
  • Punjab Kings (PBKS): New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh (four matches) & Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala (three matches against LSG, DC, and MI)

After the league stage, the IPL 2025 Playoffs will be held in Hyderabad and Kolkata:
  • Qualifier 1 (May 20, 2025) & Eliminator (May 21, 2025): Hyderabad
  • Qualifier 2 (May 23, 2025): Kolkata
  • Final (May 25, 2025): Kolkata
