Sigma BF is a mirrorless camera that makes your smartphone look complicated
Meet the Sigma BF, a camera that says "enough!" to complicated buttons and menus. Launching this April for $1,999, this sleek shooter strips photography down to its bare bones with just four buttons and a dial. It's like the Marie Kondo of cameras – keeping only what sparks joy.
The BF is carved from a single chunk of aluminum (a process that takes seven hours!) creating what Sigma proudly calls the first "true unibody" camera. Available in silver or black, it's a beautiful minimalist object that weighs less than a pound.
One radical choice? No memory card slot! Instead, there's 230GB of built-in storage – enough for 14,000 photos or about 2.5 hours of high-quality video. Just plug in via USB-C when it's time to transfer your shots.
"We wanted to create a camera perfect for everyday photography," explains Sigma's CEO. "Small, simple, and highly usable."
Despite its simplicity, the BF doesn't skimp on quality. Its 24.6-megapixel full-frame sensor captures gorgeous images, while the clean interface keeps distractions away from the 3.2-inch touchscreen. The camera even uses haptic feedback so those few buttons feel satisfyingly real under your thumb.
For the creative types, Sigma packed in 13 color modes with fun options like "Forest Green" and "Sunset Red" that give your photos instant vibes without editing.
