Google Pixel 9a is rumoured to launch next month. Ahead of the expected launch, an alleged hands-on video of the smartphone has appeared online. The leaked video shows the Obsidian Black colour variant of the Pixel 9a with a comparatively smaller camera bump.
The company seems to have removed the rear camera bar from the Pixel 9 series. Instead, there is a small, pill-shaped camera bump placed horizontally. The LED flash is on the right side of the cameras, outside the raised area. The familiar "G" logo is in the center of the back panel.

Google Pixel 9a expected launch date

As per online leaks, Pixel 9a is rumored to launch on March 19 with sale starting March 26. The handset is rumoured to come with a starting price of $499 for 128GB storage, while the 256GB version may cost $599.
Google Pixel 9a will succeed last year’s Google Pixel 8a that debuted on May 7, 2024. If the above mentioned information is true, the Pixel 9a may come a bit early than its predecessor.

Google Pixel 9a expected features

The smartphone is rumoured to have a plastic body. The handset is expected to offer 8GB of RAM and may include Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Iris (blue), and Peony (pink) as colour options.
Google Pixel 9a is said to have a 6.28-inch OLED screen with 2,700-nit brightness. The device is tipped to come powered by the company’s own Tensor G4 chipset and may run on Android 15 operating system.
On the camera front, the handset may feature a 48MP main camera coupled with a 13MP ultrawide camera. It is said to pack a 5,100mAh battery.
