It’s been chaos for YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps. A joke on India’s Got Latent has landed him in a legal mess with multiple FIRs and police from different states chasing him. But now, the conversation is shifting. What started as backlash is turning into a debate on harassment—and it’s dividing opinions fast.

Gaurav Taneja stands with Ranveer Allahbadia, calls out harassment, and questions YouTube’s silence

Gaurav Taneja, famously known as Flying Beast, jumped into the chaos. He had slammed Ranveer Allahbadia at first but quickly flipped his stance. In an Instagram video, he made it clear—this isn’t about justice anymore. It’s harassment.
"When this controversy first started, I thought it was great that the youth of this country still care about tradition and culture. They were standing up for what they believed in, and that’s absolutely right. But now, what is happening? This is going too far."
Taneja didn’t hold back. He pointed fingers at the police for dragging in people who had nothing to do with the joke. Editors, past guests—everyone’s getting pulled in. And Ranveer? He had to run to the Supreme Court to club the FIRs together.
"Police from multiple states are involved now. Even the editor of the show has been taken in. And now they are summoning guests who appeared on past episodes. This is getting out of hand," he said.
But Taneja wasn’t done. He called out YouTube, asking why the platform gets off easy while creators get grilled.
"If offensive content is such a big issue, then why is YouTube letting it stay online in the first place? Why not question Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai? But of course, they won’t do that. They’ll only go after the weaker ones—the ones they can harass," he argued.
And his final mic drop? Justice isn’t about power, but fairness.
"Punishment should fit the crime. What’s happening right now is not about right and wrong anymore. It’s about who has the ability to go after whom. This is not the democracy we voted for."

Ex-WWE wrestler Saurav Gurjar threatens Ranveer Allahbadia and demands punishment, but fans drag him online

Saurav Gurjar, known as Sanga from his WWE days, came in swinging. And not just with words—he threw threats.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), he tagged everyone from Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded action. His message? No apology will cut it.
"It doesn’t matter if he apologises or not, we need to take action against him. Otherwise, someone else will try the same thing."
But he didn’t stop there. The threat got personal—and violent.
"If I meet Ranveer in any Mumbai party or show, I’ll not spare him. His security won’t be able to save him; nor will any power in the world. Freedom of Speech doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want."
And then came the insult:
"Besharm aadmi, sharm kar thodi si (have some shame, you shameless man)."
But social media was quick to clap back. And they dragged him—hard.
"Ranveer has already realized his mistake, apologized, and will improve himself. Brother, focus on fixing your own career instead of using others’ names for fame."
Another hit him where it hurt:
"Women are not respected in your Gurjar community. And, you want to reform the society?"
And one user summed up the mood:
"lol he’s tagging the Mumbai police while openly threatening someone… oh the irony."

What did Ranveer Allahbadia say to cause this chaos?

It all started with one twisted question on India’s Got Latent:
"Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?"
It blew up instantly. Samay Raina, the show’s host, deleted every single episode from his channel. He posted on Instagram Stories:
"Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you."

Despite Ranveer Allahbadia’s apology, the heat hasn’t died down. He’s facing FIRs in Assam and Mumbai for promoting obscenity. The police even showed up at his place on February 14, but the flat was locked. And the Maharashtra Cyber Cell? They’ve summoned him for questioning on February 24.
In an account, a former contestant of India’s Got Latent shared a similar experience, recounting how the show’s comedians handled a difficult moment:
"I had a similar experience… I was a performer and want to share two things. Mera set bilkul nahi chala, and main bura wala troll hui (My set bombed, and I got badly trolled). But man, man, man… Be it Samay, Balraj, Rahul, Kenny, Hozay—everyone apologised and made sure I was comfortable."
She also highlighted how the team prioritized her comfort before airing the episode:
"…He even asked, ‘Agar air hua toh issue nahi hoga na? (If it gets aired, will you be okay?)’ BTS humse pucho… Bhai, hum gaye roast hone ke liye. Hume issue nahi hai… Duniya ko kya problem hai? (Ask us behind the scenes… We came for a roast. If we don’t have a problem, why does the world?)."
These firsthand accounts have added a new dimension to the debate, portraying an effort by the show's hosts to ensure that participants felt respected despite the show's edgy format.
