The Kansas City Chiefs remains undefeated and are a potential Super Bowl winner

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Saints 26-13, securing a 26-13 win, bringing their record to 5-0 and joining the Minnesota Vikings as the only undefeated NFL team in the first five weeks. The Chiefs, seemingly undefeated and a potential Super Bowl winner, face significant injuries to running back Isiah Pacheco and wide receivers Rashee Rice and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown. This puts more responsibility on other offensive playmakers, who wasted little time making an impact.

The home team scored first, with Hunt scoring after Kelce worked into space for multiple receptions. Mahomes, a future Hall of Famer, utilized his legs, arm angles, and pump fakes to manipulate defense and establish a 16-7 halftime lead. He relied on his trusty connection with Kelce and even mixed in a lateral to Samaje Perine on 3rd-and-22.

The Saints' offense struggled, consistently stalling in the red zone for field goals instead of touchdowns. In the third quarter, they didn't manage a field goal, with Smith-Schuster's potential touchdown falling to Khalen Saunders. The Saints gained momentum with Foster Moreau's touchdown, but Mahomes found Smith-Schuster for a 50-yard pass, followed by Xavier Worthy's touchdown run. The quarterback also made a dramatic first down on a scramble play, extending the drive and ultimately leading to a field goal. The Saints' momentum was only increased when Carr found Foster Moreau for a touchdown.

Kansas City's defense, featuring Bryan Cook's interception, multiple fourth-down stops, and timely pressure on Carr, played well. If Mahomes continues to perform at this level, the Chiefs can survive injuries and head into their bye week with momentum.
