Lebron James Is on the Verge of Yet Another Career Milestone: Only 79 Points Away From Becoming the Only Player to Reach 50K Career Points

LeBron James is on the brink of making NBA history by reaching 50,000 career points, a feat no other player has achieved. Currently at 49,921 points, he needs just 79 more. Renowned for his scoring ability, James also shared a fun moment on Instagram, singing Justin Timberlake's 'Like I Love You.'

The world of LeBron James is different from you and I. That man is making different records and setting career milestones every other day. If he is not outscoring opponents and winning games, then he is going out and setting new records or even creating his own. He is now on the verge of doing something similar yet again. King James is only a few points away from reaching 50,000 career points - a feat yet to be achieved by any other player in the league.

LeBron James is 79 points away from 50000 career points

After the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Dallas Mavericks, where LeBron James scored 27 points, the prolific player is currently at 49,921 points. So far, he has scored 41,759 points in the regular season and 8,162 points in the postseason. Now, he is only 79 points away from having scored a career total of 50,000 points, something no other player has been able to achieve yet in their careers.

The world of the NBA has seen many greats - from Michael Jordan to Kobe Bryant to Shaquille O'Neill and now LeBron James. But none of the others have been able to achieve this career milestone yet. King James is currently the all-time leading scorer in the NBA, having surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 2023. The 77-year-old NBA legend, who was present at the Crypto.com Arena for the recent Lakers vs. Mavs game, broke the NBA's career scoring record in 1984. He scored a total of 38,387 points in his 20-season-long career and held the record until Lakers star LeBron James came for the top spot.

LeBron James shows off his singing prowess to fans

In a recent clip shared by King James on his Instagram handle, the Lakers star can be seen crooning to Like I Love You by Justin Timberlake. He was pitching to the lyrics of "I just wanna love you baby" as he slid across the court, before the video cuts to match highlights of James and the Lakers from the Lakers vs. Mavs game. But that shirt bit of him crooning and trying to jazz up the steps was the best five seconds for the fans, who got to see him have fun and enjoy his time.

Even actor Jamie Foxx couldn't stop himself from leaving a comment on the video. He simply added a goat emoji, indicating LeBron James is the G.O.A.T. of the game, according to him. Some fans are obviously on board with that, while a few left some annoyed comments, disagreeing with his choice. But let's leave the G.O.A.T. debate for another day and watch LeBron James singing to Justin Timberlake once more for now.
