There's no doubt that a healthy Cody Bellinger brings a lot to the field, and fans have seen it at the World Series win with the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, Bellinger has been finding it hard to retain his high-performance self, leading to "frustration" with himself.

Cody Bellinger talks about his capabilities when 'healthy'

The New York Post released an interview with Cody Bellinger on Sunday, during which one of the questions that analyst Steve Serby asked the Yankees outfielder was about his performance. When asked about what he brings to the field when in a fully healthy condition, Bellinger said:
"I’ve shown it quite a few times in this game. My skill set, you know, it’s dynamic, it’s offense, it’s defense, it’s baserunning, everything I can do. I really can do everything well on a baseball field, and that’s why I wake up every day to go and showcase that, and I get very frustrated with myself when I’m not showing it or I’m not able to show it."

The 2024 season was filled with injured and unimpressive performances for Cody Bellinger, who had been training hard to retain his previous form. Moving forward in the interview, Bellinger confessed that he's "good with where" he's at and confident in his abilities. Talking about his confidence in himself, the Yankees star said:
"I can honestly say that. I feel really good with where I’m at. I’m very confident in my ability right now. I feel like my body and everything’s in a good spot. I’m excited to keep it going, and I’m feeling good."
Cody Bellinger was drafted into the league by the Los Angeles Dodgers as the 124th overall pick in round 4 of the 2013 MLB Draft. Bellinger got the chance to play his debut game in 2017 and stayed with the team till 2022. In 2023, Bellinger joined the Chicago Cubs and stayed with the team till 2024 before getting signed by the New York Yankees.
Even though the 2024 season didn't land pretty impressive for Cody Bellinger, fans have been hoping to see the old-Bellinger back in the game, with the Yankees. Do you think Bellinger would succeed in retaining his momentum and help win the Yankees the World Series?
