This Marvel Rivals hero tier list for Season 1.5 will help you get an idea of the best characters that you can currently main in the game. Marvel Rivals 1.5 mid-season update has seen some significant balance changes that have shaken up the meta. Especially with the addition of the two new heroes, Human Torch and The Thing, the dynamics between several heroes has changed. For this tier-list to make sense, this article has been divided into three sections with three separate tier-lists exclusive to the three classes of heroes that exist in the game. However it’s important to note, a tier list doesn’t represent a character’s viability in-game. Any hero can perform S tier when mastered and played effectively.
Having said that, whether you’re a Vanguard, Duelist or Strategist main, jump into your respective class tier-list to see if your favorite hero has made it to the S tier of Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 meta.
(Note: This tier list is aimed at casual players who are not looking to excel competitively. The gameplay alters drastically once you reach Diamond.)

All S-tier Vanguards in Marvel Rivals

  • Doctor Strange
  • Venom

Doctor Strange is one of the strongest Vanguards in game due to his ability to absorb a ton of damage with his shield, while also putting pressure on the opposition by teleporting his team to the objective much faster. His ultimate too can be game changing with a coordinated team.
Venom has the highest HP in game with the ability to go in and out fights quickly. He can be extremely hard to kill and force enemy players to waste their abilities on him. This makes Venom a S tier Vanguard in Marvel Rivals.

All A-tier Vanguards in Marvel Rivals

  • Groot
  • Peni Parker
  • Thor
  • The Thing

Groot can easily be a S tier vanguard in the right hands. He can protect his team with his walls while also separating the enemy front and back line. He can quickly shift the momentum of a game with his ultimate that pulls the entire enemy team in one spot to be fired down.
Peni Parker is a great area control Vanguard who can easily lockdown areas and hold down objectives for good. She can be somewhat inconsistent depending on the map, thus placing her in A tier.
Thor is a menace to go against especially with his ability to dash in and his Awakened State. His team up with Hela is one of the strongest in the game granting him extra health and being instantly revived.
The Thing is a strong counter against displacing duelists like Wolverine and Spider Man. He can pressure weak enemies while also having a fall back option. Only time will tell if he jumps up into the S tier later into the season.

All B-tier Vanguards in Marvel Rivals

  • Captain America
  • Magneto

Captain America and Magneto, despite having potential, are very inconsistent in the current meta and only useful in specific situations. In most cases they are too tricky to be effective for the average player, thus placing them in the B tier.

All C-tier Vanguards in Marvel Rivals

  • Bruce Banner

Hulk is basically a worse version of Venom with too low of a health to be a threat. You need to get extremely close to the enemy to deal damage with no way of dealing with ranged attacks from the enemy.

Duelists tier list in Marvel Rivals Season 1.5

All S-tier Duelists in Marvel Rivals

  • Hela
  • Moon Knight
  • Scarlet Witch
  • The Punisher

These heroes have the highest damage output per second with solid retreating abilities. They can be hard to kill and have to be prioritized by the enemy team to take down, to have a chance at winning.

All A-tier Duelists in Marvel Rivals

  • Hawkeye
  • Iron Fist
  • Iron Man
  • Mister Fantastic
  • Squirrel Girl
  • Winter Soldier

These A tier heroes are a perfect balance of strong abilities and good damage output. They are the better choice of heroes in the current meta against a variety of other heroes in the game.

All B-tier Duelists in Marvel Rivals

  • Magik
  • Namor
  • Star-lord
  • Storm
  • Wolverine

These heroes are almost impossible to be consistent with in subsequent matches. While they might jump in and get kills often, they often die after putting their team at a disadvantage. They have good damage output which puts them in a solid B tier.

All C-tier Duelists in Marvel Rivals

  • Black Panther
  • Black Widow
  • Psylocke
  • Spider-man
  • Human Torch

While these heroes can be excellent in higher tiers in the hands of players who master them, they are generally weak in a typical casual setting. Compared to other Duelists, they lack versatility and damage output.

Strategist tier list in Marvel Rivals Season 1.5

All S-tier Strategists in Marvel Rivals

  • Jeff The Land Shark
  • Luna Snow
  • Rocket Raccoon

Jeff’s recent buff to his fire rate has pushed him all the way up to S tier. Luna Snow is the easiest healer that anyone can pick up and be effective with. Rocket Raccoon is the most versatile strategist in game right now, being able to not only heal but also put out damage and buff the damage output of his entire team.

All A tier Strategists in Marvel Rivals:
  • Adam Warlock
  • Cloak & Dagger
  • Invisible Woman

These strategists have solid abilities to back up their team and support them in intense situations and change the tide of the game. They just fall a little short from the S-tier strategists in the game.
All B-tier Strategists in Marvel Rivals
  • Mantis

Mantis can be great in the hands of the player with excellent aim as her abilities have no cooldown but instead relies on her dealing headshots. For the majority of the casual player base, this can be hard to do, making her ineffective in most cases.
All C-tier Strategists in Marvel Rivals
  • Loki

For the average casual player, Loki is a bad choice for a strategist as it requires significant planning and awareness to play him effectively. He has a lot of potential and is powerful when mastered but for this general tier-list, he sits in the C tier.
