"The 14 CAG reports from 2015 that were held back by Arvind Kejriwal because there were so many scams in the performance report, it was clear that there were so many issues, especially the liquor policy. It has been passed now. Now, these reports will be presented in the Parliament," said Sirsa.

In her first press briefing as Delhi chief minister, Rekha Gupta announced that her cabinet has decided to implement Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi, which the Kejriwal government had refused to rollout.Brefing the media about the two key decisions taken at first cabinet meet, Rekha Gupta announced that her government has cleared the part for the CAG audit report to be tabled in first session of the assembly.

Delhi's newly appointed chief minister Rekha Gupta unveiled the portfolios of her six cabinet ministers following her swearing-in ceremony on Thursday. Gupta, who assumed office with a commitment to fulfilling the BJP’s promises, wasted no time in outlining her cabinet’s responsibilities as she set her sights on realising the “Viksit Delhi” mission.

"We have decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi which was not allowed by the previous govt. 14 CAG reports have not been tabled in the House by the last govt. In the first meeting of the House, those reports will be tabled," said Gupta.

Gupta, accompanied by her ministers, state BJP in-charge Baijayant Panda, and state president Virendra Sachdeva, took charge at the Delhi Secretariat following a grand oath-taking ceremony at Ramlila Maidan.

"I assure that not a single day will be wasted in realising our mission of a developed Delhi," Gupta told reporters.

Earlier, the first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh was sworn in as chief minister by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, with her council of ministers also taking their oaths.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top BJP leaders, but no AAP leaders, including former CM Arvind Kejriwal, were present. In the evening, Gupta performed the 'Yamuna Aarti' at Vasudev Ghat with her cabinet.

The pollution of the Yamuna River and its cleaning had become a significant issue during the Delhi Assembly elections, with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) facing criticism from opposition parties BJP and Congress. Both parties targeted AAP convener and former CM Arvind Kejriwal for the severely polluted Yamuna.

Rekha, along with Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva and her cabinet ministers – Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh – performed the 'Maa Yamuna Puja' before conducting the Aarti, just before the first cabinet meeting. Ram bhajans echoed at the ghat, with chants of "Jai Shree Ram" and "Yamuna Maiya Ki Jai."

Earlier, Rekha, the first-time MLA from Shalimar Bagh, took her oath as CM in a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, administered by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with top BJP leaders, including Union ministers Amit Shah, J P Nadda, and Rajnath Singh, attended the ceremony. Gupta later arrived at the Delhi Secretariat to officially take charge.

"In the last 10 years, AAP was running politics of spreading confusion, lies and corruption in Delhi. Now, the BJP government has come to power in Delhi, and people have shown their faith in PM Modi and handed over Delhi to him. Now our cabinet formed today will work towards making Delhi the capital of PM Modi's vision of developed India," said Sehrawat.

At 3:00pm, she will visit the Delhi Secretariat to formally assume office. Later in the day, at 5:00 PM, she will visit the Vasudev Ghat, Yamuna Bazaar. In the evening, at 7:00 PM, she will hold her first cabinet meeting at the Delhi Secretariat.

Rekha Gupta, BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh, was sworn in as the chief minister of Delhi on Thursday, marking the beginning of a new government in the capital under the BJP rule after 27 years. She took the oath of office alongside six BJP MLAs who have been appointed as cabinet ministers.

Multiple party leaders also praised the Delhi CM, talking about how the national capital will be developed now.

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj told reporters, "There will be a lot of development in Delhi after BJP leader Rekha Gupta takes oath as the CM of Delhi. She will write a new chapter of development under the leadership of PM Modi...It is a very emotional day and my mother, Sushma Swaraj is surely blessing Rekha Gupta."

Union Minister Anupriya Patel also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving a woman the opportunity to govern Delhi.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra, a former AAP member, is now a minister in the Rekha Gupta-led Delhi cabinet. He secured victory in the Karawal Nagar constituency in the Delhi assembly elections held on February 5.

Born in 1974 in Nandgarh village in Haryana's Jind district, Gupta moved to Delhi with her family in 1976 when her father joined the State Bank of India. She pursued her education at Daulat Ram College, where she became involved with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In 1996, she was elected as the president of the Delhi University Students' Union, making her the first DUSU office bearer to become Chief Minister of Delhi.

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Delhi chief minister Designate and BJP leader Rekha Gupta, BJP MLAs expressed confidence that she would take Delhi to new heights of development and carry forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. BJP leader Alka Singh Gurjar said that she would take Delhi to new heights of development.

Alka Singh Gurjar said, "Rekha Gupta has been a dedicated worker. Joining in the guarantee of PM Modi to fulfil the pledges for Delhi, she will take Delhi to new heights of development."

BJP MLA Sanjay Goel said that they were very happy with the choice of Rekha Gupta as CM, "All of us will take PM Modi's vision forward. We will make a 'Viksit Delhi'. The way the previous government has looted the state, we will work on all the issues that have been neglected."

BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri said, "AAP-da se mukti...The development of the country under PM Narendra Modi will now be seen in Delhi too."

At the swearing-in ceremony of Delhi CM Designate Rekha Gupta, BJP MP Ravi Kishan said, "PM Modi has sent a message to the entire world (by electing BJP leader Rekha Gupta as Delhi CM), and he always talks of empowering women...Today is a day of celebrations today...I congratulate everyone and the world will see the development of Delhi..."

BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who will take oath as Delhi minister today said, "I am grateful to the top leadership of the party for giving me the opportunity to be part of the team that will implement PM Modi's vision... Delhi will get clean water, clean air... We will take action against those who commit corruption and Arvind Kejriwal will have to spend most of his time in jail."

On asking if she will stay in the 'Sheesh Mahal' after the oath ceremony, Delhi CM designate Rekha Gupta says, "Nahi, Nahi."

Delhi chief minister-designate Rekha Gupta on Thursday said she would not stay in the official CM residence, often referred to by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as "Sheesh Mahal," and said "Anyone who has been corrupt will have to account for every rupee."

When asked by a reporter whether she would stay in Sheesh Mahal, Gupta dismissed the idea, responding with a firm, "Nahi, nahi."

BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who will take oath as Delhi minister today said, "I thank PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda for giving me the opportunity to work as a cabinet minister and work for the development of Delhi...PM Modi has returned the rights (of the Sikh community) after 12 years, because the previous government had abolished the post of Sikh cabinet minister and did injustice to the Sikh community...Our priority is to clean Delhi, Yamuna river."

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Bharatiya Janata Party government in the national capital, BJP MLA Kapil Mishra said that together they will implement the Prime Minister's vision for Delhi.

Kapil Mishra, who will also take oath as minister in the Delhi government by chief minister designate Rekha Gupta, visited the Jhandewalan Temple today.

"It is a historic day. Under the leadership of Rekha Ji, a new BJP government is being formed, and together, we will implement the Prime Minister's vision for Delhi. I have not come here (to the temple) to ask for anything; I am here to express gratitude," he said.

Mishra also mentioned that AAP Chef Arvind Kejriwal had "cheated" the people, and the people have punished him through the mandate.
