Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently took to her Instagram stories to praise Alia Bhatt's action thriller 'Jigra', calling her a "tigress." In her heartfelt message, Samantha commended Alia for her fiery performance.
Samantha expressed her admiration for Alia's ability to captivate audiences, stating that she couldn't take eyes off her during the film. She noted that Alia sets high standards for herself and inspires others in the industry.
She also acknowledged Vasan Bala for creating a unique film that pushes boundaries in presenting female leads. She described Vedang Raina as a talent to watch, particularly praising a specific scene that left her gasping due to its intensity.

'Jigra' revolves around a devoted sister, Satya (played by Alia), who wants to rescue her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina), who has been wrongfully accused of drug possession.

Earlier, Alia travelled to Hyderabad, where she and Samantha participated in promotional events.
Despite the positive feedback from Samantha, 'Jigra' has faced challenges at the box office. In 4 days since its release, the movie has only made an estimated Rs 18.10 crore in India as per Sacnilk.
