Government school teacher claims students are becoming ‘worse’ after watching Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa': 'They sport unbearable hairstyles and talk vulgarly'

Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' became a mega-hit on a global level, crossing around Rs 1200 crore at the box office following its release on December 5 ,2024. Now, a government school teacher from Yusufguda, Hyderabad, has reportedly voiced her concerns over the impact of mass media on students during a discussion with the Education Commission. In the video, she slammed 'Pushpa' for negatively influencing students.
In the clip shared by V6 News, the teacher expressed her disappointment, stating that she feels like she has "failed as an administrator" after witnessing students display unruly behaviour. “They sport unbearable hairstyles and talk vulgarly. We focus only on education and ignore this,” she said. She further added that the same issue occurs in private schools as well.

She also pointed fingers at mass media for encouraging such behaviour, adding that disciplinary actions have become difficult. “They don’t seem to care even when we call parents to discuss these issues. You can’t even punish them because it might drive them to suicide. I have to blame the mass media for all this. Half the students in my school have become worse due to 'Pushpa'. The film was certified without any concern for this,” she added.

The video has stirred the internet, and many X (formerly Twitter) users have come forward to share their thoughts on the issue. “What she said is true. Some will get influenced by watching these types of movies,” one X user wrote. Another echoed the sentiment with a Telugu comment, “Manchi cheyakapoyina perledhu kani chedu cheyadhu” (It’s okay if you don’t do good, but don’t make it worse).
Some netizens responded with sarcasm, “SIR' movie chusi poor students ki free ga chaduvu cheppachu ga teacher” (Then teach students for free after watching 'SIR').” Another questioned, “After watching 'Game Changer' and 'Maharshi', will students prepare for IAS or take up farming?”
