Jiyeon will appear along with her other group members to meet with fans at a T-ara fan meeting in Macau on the 7th. As mentioned above, the legal process now starts.
According to allkpop.com, Taesung Law Firm's lawyer, who represents Jiyeon, said, “The couple could not overcome their differences, leading to a separation and an agreement to divorce. A request for divorce mediation has been filed with the Seoul Family Court. We earnestly ask that speculative comments be refrained from.”
Jiyeon went on saying, “We have mutually agreed to proceed with the mediation process for our divorce. I ask for your understanding for not addressing this sooner. I will strive to greet you with a better image in the future.”
Hwang appeared in a playoff game that day he has since announced, “Jiyeon and I have decided to divorce after a period of deep consideration and separation due to differences in personality. We have already submitted a divorce mediation request to the Seoul Family Court and plan to complete the process amicably. Although our relationship as a married couple is ending, we will continue to support each other on our respective paths. I apologize to the fans for causing disappointment.”

Since June, the couple who got married in December 2022 have constantly been faced with rumors of an impending divorce. Speculation runs rampant because KNN broadcasters publicly proposed during a YouTube live stream that Hwang's poor performance might be associated with the couple's separation. At the same timeline, Jiyeon temporarily halted her YouTube channel documenting their newly-wed life due to "personal reasons" while both parties remained mum regarding the rumors. Divorce mediation was confirmed on the breakup of their marriage after nearly two years.
In September, three months after she stopped YouTube activities, Jiyeon resumed posting but deleted all videos related to Hwang. This included a May video where she created baby shoes intended for their future child, which has since been removed.
