'Stree 2', the much-anticipated sequel to the hit horror-comedy, has achieved record-breaking success at the box office and is now set for its OTT release. After an impressive theatrical run that started on August 15, 2024, the film garnered critical acclaim and audience appreciation, surpassing several box office milestones.
The film surprised everyone by surpassing the Hindi language record previously set by
Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Jawan', grossing over Rs 620 crore at the box office.
However, it did not claim the title of the highest-earning Hindi film in India, a record still held by Jawan, which has earned Rs 640 crore.
In the past three days, 'Stree 2' has added just Rs 1.40 crore to its earnings, bringing its total collection to Rs 596 crore. The film now requires only Rs 4 crore to enter the prestigious Rs 600 crore club, a milestone it is expected to reach by next week.
Now, after a historic theatrical run, 'Stree 2' is available for streaming on Prime Video. It features a talented cast that includes
Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles.
There are also rumors that Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan are working on their next project with Shah Rukh Khan, with initial conversations already taking place. Only time will tell when the film will go on floors.
