Ranveer Singh along with the starcast of Singham Again arrived for the trailer launch of the
Rohit Shetty directorial. The film reunites Ranveer with Arjun Kapoor after 10 years. The duo was seen in Gunday and Finding Fanny in 2014.
Talking about the reunion, Ranveer shared, "Arjun is my aakhon ka tara, my dulhara, my baba and we are back on screen after a decade." This is the first time he is working with
Tiger Shroff.
About the actor, Ranveer said, "For the first time I am sharing screen space with my man crush, the wonder boy (Tiger). I am a huge fan of him. There is nobody in the world as special as Tiger who is extremely skilled. From dancing like Michael Jackson to fighting like Bruce Lee I am a huge fan and I am hugely honoured to be sharing screen space with him."
The film also stars
Deepika Padukone, who didn't grace the event because of her motherly duties. "She is busy with our baby and so she didn't come," said Ranveer. About her part in the film, he said, "Meri wife bohot classy hai lekin jab massy avatar mein aati hai na mereko sabse zyada khushi hoti hai. Aur woh mass, mass ka raja (Rohit) hi leke aa sakta hai."
The film, which takes inspiration from the characters of the Indian epic Ramayana, features Kareena Kapoor Khan as Sita. Talking at the event, she said, "Ramayana mein Sita na ho ye ho nahi sakta aur Rohit Shetty ki film mein Kareena na ho, ho nahi sakta. Thank you so much Rohit and Ajay for always supporting me and for giving me such a special role in this male centric cop verse and in this film to represent Sita maa. I'm very honored and very overwhelmed. Rohit and Ajay will always be my favorites."
Arjun who's working with Shetty for the first time said he's been a fan of the director and has seen his films in single screen theatres. He said, "I've always wanted to work with Rohit Shetty and Ajay sir. I didn't know your dreams can come true to this extent. I have seen Singham in Chandan and Singham 2 in Gaiety. After Golmaal I told him (Rohit) I wanted to work with him. I'm just so happy and so proud to be a part of this massive extravaganza of entertainment for our audiences and they deserve to come and have a great time on screen."
