Celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri reveals Kareena Kapoor 'walks and talks luxury'; Katrina Kaif is 'a Perfectionist'

Celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri has carved a name for herself in the film industry, curating unforgettable looks for some of Bollywood’s biggest names over nearly two decades. From Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani to Sridevi, Janhvi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif, her roster of stars reflects the who's who of cinema. Despite her extensive experience, working with perfectionists like Kareena Kapoor and Katrina initially left her feeling nervous.


In a recent interview with Devna G on his YouTube channel, Tanya shared her experience working with Kareena. She described the actress as “super confident” and an “empowered woman”. She added that the actress knows herself well as she is ever-evolving, and the transition from before her marriage, to her wedding, and then becoming a mother is something that inspired Tanya.
Tanya admired Kareena's willingness to embrace change while staying authentic. She praised Kareena for embracing every phase of her life with confidence, whether as a new mum or a newlywed, while staying true to herself. She highlighted the ‘Singham Again’ actress’ trust in her stylists, allowing them creative freedom.
"Maximalism is not her style. I call her the Julia Roberts of India, elegant, chic, and minimal. She keeps things interesting while staying true to herself," the stylist added. Despite her high-fashion persona, Kareena often prefers to relax in comfortable kaftans at home, proving her simplicity. Tanya concluded, “She walks and talks luxury."
While Kareena exudes a relaxed approach, Katrina Kaif’s meticulous nature has been equally inspiring for Tanya. She believes that the actress’ style has evolved significantly over the years. Known for her love of luxury and perfectly tailored outfits, Katrina’s wardrobe is a blend of high-end global brands and exquisite Indian ensembles.
Tanya admitted that her initial encounters with Katrina were daunting. "I wasn’t nervous around anyone, but with Katrina, I was. When I started working with her, she was already a massive star. She’s a perfectionist, and I learnt so much from her about attention to detail and striving for excellence."
Over time, Tanya developed a strong rapport with Katrina, transforming a nerve-wracking experience into an enriching one.
