Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava continues its phenomenal box office journey, proving to be one of the biggest blockbusters of recent times. On its second Tuesday, the film collected a solid Rs 18.50 crore, matching the collection of Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 on the corresponding day. But the film narrowly missed out on beating the mega blockbuster Pushpa 2- The Rule’s Hindi numbers as Allu Arjun starrer film had minted Rs 20.5 crore on Tuesday whereas the film has overall collected Rs 26.95 crore on first monday.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava brings to life the legendary story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and its strong word-of-mouth has ensured a steady hold at the box office.

In comparison, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan had earned Rs 16.25 crore on its second Tuesday, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal had collected Rs 13.85 crore, while Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 stood at Rs 13.5 crore. Chhaava has managed to surpass these major blockbusters, further solidifying its position as a major box office success.

In just 11 days, Chhaava has amassed Rs 344.97 crore with the film collecting Rs 18.5 crore on the 11th day. With no major competition until the first week of March, it is well on its way to surpassing the Rs 400 crore mark in India. The film has also been performing exceptionally well overseas, inching towards the $4 million milestone in North America.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh highlighted Vicky Kaushal’s incredible journey, noting that Chhaava marks his first solo release to open above Rs 30 crore on Day 1. With this film, Vicky has once again proved his mettle, delivering a stellar performance and rewriting box office history.Post Chhaava, Vicky will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The actor has allotted over 200 days for the film’s shoot.
