'Pushpa 2: The Rule', starring Allu Arjun, has set the box office abuzz with an extraordinary start. With four days still to go before its December 5 release, the film’s advance bookings have crossed an impressive Rs 30.88 crore for opening day in India, showcasing its massive popularity.
According to sacnilk.com, the Telugu version alone has raked in Rs 10.28 crore in advance bookings, with the Hindi version contributing Rs 7.45 crore and the Malayalam version adding Rs 46.69 lakh for 2D screenings. IMAX 2D and 3D formats have also seen robust sales, further boosting the numbers.
Telangana leads with ticket sales worth Rs 6.76 crore, rising to Rs 9.38 crore with blocked seats. Karnataka follows with Rs 3.15 crore (Rs 4.79 crore with blocked seats), while Maharashtra secures third place with Rs 2.64 crore (Rs 3.57 crore including blocked seats).

So far, Pushpa 2 has sold an estimated 6.59 lakh tickets for 16,006 shows across India, accumulating Rs 21.49 crore in ticket sales. With blocked seats included, the total advance booking collections reach a staggering Rs 30.88 crore.
Globally, the film is creating waves, with advance bookings in the USA contributing to an estimated overseas collection of Rs 70 crore. Early projections predict a worldwide opening-day gross of Rs 303 crore, with Rs 233 crore expected from the domestic market alone.


Directed by Sukumar, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' also features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles. Ahead of the release, a controversy has emerged involving lead actor Allu Arjun. A Hyderabad-based environmentalist, Srinivas Goud, filed a complaint against the star for referring to his fans as an "Army" during a promotional event. Goud argued that the term "Army" holds honourable significance and should not be used lightly. The Jawahar Nagar Police are investigating the matter.
