Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially divorced, as a new source revealed that the judge approved their settlement on Friday (February 21). The couple had filed their divorce papers on January 6 to mark the legal end of their marriage.
According to TMZ, the divorce has now been formalised. Affleck and Lopez had been living apart for quite some time. Their relationship, which saw a much-publicised rekindling nearly a decade after their initial romance, led to marriage in 2022.

Reports reveal that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, leading them to sort out community assets and income from shared ventures. TMZ also noted that they reached an agreement regarding their $60 million Beverly Hills estate.

Lopez, who initiated the divorce in August 2024, has spoken about her current focus. She shared that this year is dedicated to self-care, healing, and personal growth.
Meanwhile, Affleck has been leaning on his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their children for emotional support during this time. Recently, he faced a challenging situation when law enforcement entered his Brentwood home amid the Los Angeles wildfires. They reportedly requested him to vacate the premises for an ongoing investigation.

Following Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce, their children initially maintained their close bond, often spending time together despite the couple’s split. Affleck’s daughter, Violet, was frequently seen accompanying Lopez on outings, along with his son, Samuel.
However, sources now reveal that the connection between Lopez and Affleck’s children has gradually weakened. According to the Daily Mail, an insider shared that Violet decided to distance herself from Lopez after feeling caught in the middle of her father’s separation.
