IndiGo starts direct flight between Bengaluru and Langkawi, Malaysia

IndiGo has launched daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Langkawi, marking its 36th international destination. This new route strengthens India-Malaysia connectivity, following a recent visa waiver for Indian citizens. IndiGo now offers direct flights from Bengaluru to various domestic and international locations, including recent additions like Mauritius and Bali, and the resumed Bengaluru-Kuala Lumpur route.

PUNE: IndiGo on Monday started its exclusive daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Langkawi. Langkawi, IndiGo’s 36th international and 124th overall destination, joins the airline's extensive 6E network, further expanding IndiGo's global reach and catering to the increasing demand for travel between India and Malaysia, airline officials said.
The inaugural flight marked a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity between the two countries, offering travellers a convenient and affordable way to experience the beauty of Langkawi.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said, “We are delighted to expand our network into Malaysia with the launch of direct flights from Bengaluru to Langkawi. This is our second destination in Malaysia, in addition to Kuala Lumpur. IndiGo recently expanded its international flight network from Bengaluru, introducing direct flights to exciting new destinations such as Mauritius and Bali. Additionally, IndiGo also resumed its operations between Bengaluru and Kuala Lumpur with daily flights starting December 15.
These additions not only strengthen connectivity from the city but also position Bengaluru as a burgeoning international hub.
The airline provides seamless direct connections from Bengaluru to a host of domestic destinations like Amritsar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, and Kolkata, as well as numerous tier 2 and tier 3 cities across India.
