NAVI MUMBAI: The two have been identified as Anil Mulaje (52) and Tushar Kulkarni (31), who were living in New Panvel. They were crossing the railway track from Khanda Colony side to New Panvel. Mulaje worked at the MGM hospital and was originally from Latur. Kulkarni worked in another hospital and was from Satara. Kulkarni's family stays at their native place.
They avoided the foot over-bridge and were suspected to have slipped while crossing the tracks during the previous night.

The police did not find any major injuries in their body parts. The two were found in a rain water-filled track side pit. Their bodies were sent for post-mortem at the sub district hospital. Senior police inspector Pravin Padvi said, "There is no chance of being hit by the running train while crossing the tracks as they had not sustained grievous injuries. It was raining during the night. We found their identity cards from the bags and reached out to their family members. An accidental death case has been registered and investigation is on"
