Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 35 Series, its most advanced EV yet. The new Chetak will be available across three variants namely, 3501, 3502, and 3503. The prices for the base-spec 3502 trim start at Rs 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom, while the mid-spec 3501 variant will set you back by Rs 1.27 lakh, ex-showroom. The pricing details for the top-of-the-line 3503, however, remain under wraps.

The Chetak 35 Series is based on a new design platform and now features extended seat length and a wider floorboard. It also offers 35 litres of under-seat storage. Besides that, the Chetak remains the only electric scooter in India to get a metal body.

Bajaj Chetak 35 Series: Battery and range
The heart of the Chetak 35 Series is a newly integrated 3.5kWh battery, supported by an onboard 950W charger. This setup can charge the scooter from 0 to 80% in three hours. The battery powers a 4kW motor, enabling a top speed of 73 kmph and delivering a range of 153 km on a single charge.
In terms of features, the 35 Series features a touchscreen TFT display with integrated navigation, music controls, and call handling capabilities. Other highlights include geo-fencing, theft alerts, accident detection, and overspeed warnings.
Bajaj has also expanded its footprint with 507 towns across India now hosting Chetak dealerships, supported by 4,000 sales touchpoints and 3,800 service workshops. The scooter is also available for purchase on Amazon and Flipkart. The Chetak 35 Series is set to compete with rivals like the Ola S1, TVS iQube, and Ather Rizta. Deliveries for the 3501 variant are expected to commence from later this month while for the 3502, they will commence from January 2025.
