Viet Nam's rural digitalization: the scenario of Yen Hoa commune's digital village The Yen Hoa commune in Vietnam launched a digital transformation pilot in 2020 to address challenges like limited healthcare, inefficient agriculture, and low digital literacy. NIA Opens 59th Information Center in Bhutan···First AI Support The government has inaugurated an Information Access Center (IAC) in Bhutan, the 59th center in a global initiative supporting digitalization in developing countries. Since 2002, 58 centers have been launched in 45 countries, impacting around 500,000 people annually. Notably, Bhutan's IAC is the first focused specifically on artificial intelligence (AI), with plans unveiled for extensive cooperation in AI and digitalization during the inauguration ceremony in Thimphu. Attended by officials from both nations, the center is located in Thimphu Tech Park and serves as a pioneering model for AI collaboration, enhancing Bhutan's AI capabilities. The IAC features high-performance GPU workstations, a digital training room, and facilities designed for a diverse user base, including private companies, teachers, and students, positioning it as an AI education hub. Pilot training sessions were launched to strengthen Bhutan's AI skills, focusing on data annotation and associated tools. The active participation of specialized AI venture companies showcased students’ adaptability to technology. Officials emphasized the IAC as vital for Bhutan's digital transformation and expressed optimism for further cooperation with Korea in the AI field. The NIA Vice Director stated that the IAC aims to be more than just infrastructure, focusing on sustainable development that empowers Bhutan to advance its AI initiatives independently. Thrilled to share that Kazakhstan is the latest country to share our passion. When we started the AI Singapore's AI Apprenticeship Programme #AIAP in 2018, we were just trying to solve a practical problem - how to build up Singapore's indigenous AI engineering capabilities. Little did we expect that our pragmatic approach of combining real-world projects with structured apprenticeship would resonate beyond our shores. What started with Egypt, then Malaysia, Isle of Man, and now Kazakhstan, shows that the challenges of AI talent development and industry adoption are universal. Every nation is seeking practical ways to accelerate their AI journey. I'm humbled that our friends in Kazakhstan see value in our methods. This collaboration reinforces our belief that AI knowledge and best practices should be shared openly for the betterment of all. As I always say - let's grow our own timber! And if our experiences can help others grow theirs too, even better.

Event insights: 🇹🇭1 menstrual pad is the equivalent of 4 plastic bags, so Ira Concept biodegradable products (and plant-based plastic wrapper) that break down in 6-12 months have strong environmental impact. 🇻🇳Momby - Building experts & parents friendship offers tailored consulting services for companies with 1K+ employees to better support women at work before, during and after pregnancy. Momby's partnership with Alive & Thrive has saved lives, prevented illness and ensured healthy growth and development through optimal maternal nutrition and baby-feeding practices. 🇹🇭🇧🇩 Primary business model for the businesses targeting B2C was a subscription model, with Ira Concept confirming 92% retention rate! Another business, Chondo, creates repeat customer value through educational content, personal health tracking reports, and a directory of health specialists. 🇮🇩bubbME.AI shared that 52% of Indonesian girls have experienced gender-based violence by age 16. Leveraging #gamification to engage youths to build knowledge about sexual, maternal and reproductive health. 🇹🇭With smart machine learning, Sex-o-Phone quoted a target base of 38M reproductive age people in Thailand - Bangkok alone with 650,000 relevant customers with a total market value of ~$10M. 🇮🇩Sastya Wardani from PLans shared that there are not enough resources for reproductive health management in SEA. 85% of women in Indonesia do not know what they don't know regarding their reproductive health - only 1 in 5 are properly served for fertility. 206K+ have reached out to register interest in PLans!
