On February 13, 2025, the Student Association of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), along with the Office of Academic Administration, organized the “ICT x DST Sport Games 2025: Table Tennis Competition” for students from the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The competition took place at the Innovative Space, 1st floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya. The “ICT x DST Sport Games 2025: Table Tennis Competition” is one of the activities held under the “ICT x DST Sport Games 2025” event, organized by the Student Association and student leaders from first-year to fourth-year students of both the ICT and DST Programs, in cooperation with the Office of Academic Administration. The event aims to promote and support students’ sportsmanship, strengthen relationships between students of both programs, and encourage productive use of their free time outside of their studies. The “ICT x DST Sport Games 2025” will be held from February 5 to 19, 2025, featuring ten sports competitions, including futsal, basketball, badminton, volleyball, shooting, athletics, table tennis, pétanque, and fun games such as tug-of-war and relay races. On February 13, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, the Head of the Machine Vision and Information Transfer Lab (MVIT Research Lab) and Program Chair of the Ph.D. in Computer Science, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), received a Congratulatory Certificate from Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, on the occasion of receiving the Mahidol University’s Top 1% Researcher 2025 Award from the Research Management and Development Division of Mahidol University. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Pat Mongkolwat, PhD, Dean of ICT Mahidol, along with university executives and administrators from various faculties, colleges, and institutes at Mahidol University. The event took place at the Emeritus Professor Dr. Natee Rakpolamuang Conference Room, 5th floor, Mahidol University, Salaya. This certificate presentation aimed to honor and encourage the staff members of Mahidol University who possess virtue, ethics, knowledge, ability, and diligence, and perform their duties with efficiency and effectiveness, contributing excellent academic work in various fields, benefiting the university, society, and the nation. On February 8, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with ZenityX AI Studio, organized the “Mastering Creation with AI – Stable Diffusion” workshop. The event featured expert speakers, including Mr. Natthapol Asawarnon, Mr. Trin Tuchinda, and the ZenityX AI Studio team, who shared their insights on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and the use of the Stable Diffusion program. The workshop took place in Computer Lab 104 at ICT Mahidol, Salaya. The “Mastering Creation with AI – Stable Diffusion” workshop aimed to equip participants with a solid understanding of AI fundamentals and practical applications of Stable Diffusion, an AI model for text-to-image generation. The training covered essential topics such as writing basic prompts to create desired images, refining prompts for optimal results, and advanced techniques for image composition adjustments. Participants also learned how to enhance image details using LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) and applied AI-driven image generation techniques in real-world graphic design scenarios. The workshop featured hands-on sessions, allowing attendees to practice AI-assisted portrait creation and graphic design. On February 14, 2025, recipients of the activity scholarships, in collaboration with the Office of Academic Administration at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “ICT x DST Valentine’s Day 2025” at the Innovative Space, 1st floor, ICT Mahidol, Salaya. The objective of the event was to promote an international atmosphere, encouraging both international and Thai students, as well as staff, to learn from and exchange cultures. Additionally, it aimed to strengthen relationships between senior and junior students within the faculty. On February 12, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology Student Association, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with the ICT Mahidol Dev Club and the Office of Academic Administration, organized the “ICT x DST Sport Games 2025: Programming Competition.” This competition involved programming in various languages, including C, C++, Java, and Python. A total of 50 teams participated in the event, comprising students from the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). The opening ceremony was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems, and President of the Dev Club, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, who delivered the opening remarks. The competition took place in the computer laboratories IT103, IT104, and IT105, 1st floor of the Faculty of ICT at Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. On February 7, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Phongsuphap, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Quality Assurance, together with Preserving Arts and Culture Working Group, organized an online Dhamma lecture in observance of Makha Bucha Day via Webex Meetings. The Dhamma lecture, titled “Noble Progress,” was delivered by Phra Khru Prakhun Sarakit (Karun Kusalanando) from Wat Nyanavesakavan, Nakhon Pathom Province. It was part of ICT Mahidol’s initiatives to promote Buddhism and preserve cultural heritage. The event aimed to provide faculty members and staff with valuable insights to help guide their lives in accordance with Buddhist principles. On February 5, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of the M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance and Advisor to the ICT Mahidol Cybersecurity Club, hosted a workshop on “Hacking Essential & Linux File System.” It was attended by students from the Cybersecurity Club of both the Faculty of ICT and the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University. The event took place at Computer Laboratory 105, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya. The “Hacking Essentials & Linux File System” workshop aimed to provide foundational knowledge on the Linux operating system, system penetration, and protection techniques, as well as the role of Linux in the Cybersecurity industry.
