Hipoliti wa Roma (170–235) alikuwa mwanateolojia muhimu zaidi wa Kanisa la Roma katika karne ya 3. Labda alizaliwa mjini Roma, lakini alipendelea kuandika kwa Kigiriki kuliko kwa Kilatini ambacho kilikuwa kinazidi kutumika katika Kanisa hilo badala ya lugha ya kimataifa iliyotumika tangu wakati wa Mitume Petro na Paulo.
