Rename your Beats earphones, headphones, or speaker
Using your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Android device, it’s easy to give your Beats names that reflect your style. When you’re signed in to the same Apple Account on multiple devices, the new name is updated across your Apple devices.
Rename your Beats on an Apple device
Wear your Beats and make sure they’re connected to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Do one of the following:
iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings
, then tap the name of your Beats near the top of the screen. Tap the current name, enter a new name, then tap Done.
Mac: Choose Apple menu
> System Settings, click the name of your Beats in the sidebar, then enter a new name.
Rename your Beats on an Android device
You can give your Beats a custom name, or let the Beats app suggest some spirited device names.
Go to the Beats app
. (If your Beats device screen doesn’t appear, tap , then tap My Beats.)Tap Rename, then do one of the following:
Enter a custom name: Delete the current name, then enter a new name.
Let the Beats app suggest a name: Tap “Generate a Name.” Keep tapping until you find a name you like.
After you assign the perfect name to your Beats device, tap Save (or tap Done on the Android device’s keyboard).
Note: The new name may not be reflected in Bluetooth settings on your Android device until you pair your Beats with the device again.
