"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

FIRST EASTER / ADFD #15, SIT #42 & DHD April Color Challenge...

With Easter right around the corner, I figured I better scrap a picture of Maisie from last Easter, which was her first! She was only 2 and a half months old, so she really didn't get into the Easter spirit very much - LOL!

I used 2 images from today's new A Day For Daisies release for this digital scrap page.... Nesting and California Easter! All the many other kits used are from Design House Digital - Karen Funk & Jen Allyson mostly.

Here are the challenges I played along with:

A Day For Daisies - Use stitching

AT THE BEACH / ADFD Release & STTT#39...

Alex's first trip to the beach was in September 2009... I was pregnant with Maisie, so I didn't get to play in the water with him, but he and his granddad had a lot of fun!

Tammy over at A Day For Daisies, has a beautiful new release out today! Isn't it gorgeous? This was the first time I used digi images on a layout, all the digis are digitally paper pieced. She also has a new shop up! You should check it out!

The sketch, is from Sketches in Thyme, and I'm using it as it is this time... I used it for a layout a couple days ago, but I had changed it some. Isn't it a terrific sketch?

SUNNY DAYS / SR#62 & STTT #39...

I did a page recently from our trip to the park that featured Alex, so this one features Miss Maisie! Obviously their age difference determined that they didn't play together that day, so they had to have their own pages!

Our theme for Stampin' Royalty is GREEN, so I used lots of green papers for this layout! The sketch, which I really love, is from Sketches in Thyme! Of course, I sorta truncated it a little, but I think I'll be using it again really soon!

Bye for now!

BLD NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP & HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!

Oh good - you found this post.... I was afraid you might have gotten lost!

I got to play with Harper Puddle Jumper, isn't she all dressed up? She wanted to look nice when she wishes Lori a happy birthday! You can't tell, but I used one of Lori's tricks and put Crystal Effects on the dots on her dress! You'll be able to find Harper here.

DON'T FORGET - TWO lucky 'hoppers' will each win a $10.00 gift certificate today from the shop by leaving a comment on each person's blog... so once you leave a comment, you'll be on your way to Jacquie's beautiful blog....

BTW - I used this sketch from Sketches in Thyme...

MAISIE {hearts} GRANDPA & GRANDADDY / STTT #30...

Here's a LO of Maisie & my dad & grandfather the other night when my family got together to celebrate my birthday. My dad tends to "instigate", so at one point he was holding Maisie up, letting her grab my Grandaddy's nose. Already, she loves being the center of attention.

I used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme. The digi kit (papers & hearts) is from Jessica Sprague, Cupid's Room by Creativity by Crystal. Other elements were scrounged up from other kits.

I wish I could digi scrap all day! My kids are going to have crazy big scrapbooks one day, I tend to scrap any pictures I think are cute - significant or not.

Thanks for stopping by!

DEAR SANTA... / STTT #28...

We saw Santa!!! I thought I was excited, but Alex was SUPER excited - he ran right over, jumped in Santa's lap, and hugged him for what seemed like forever. When he finally let go, Santa said "Whew - I can breathe!".

Maisie was a sport, she waited to have a meltdown AFTER the pics were snapped! YAY, I'm so happy we got good pictures for me to digi scrap!

I love Cosmo Cricket paper, and was SO HAPPY when Jessica Sprague started selling the digital Cosmo Cricket. I used Oh Joy for this LO, inspired by the challenge over at Sketches in Thyme - Thursday Takes #28. The stitching, buttons and ribbon were all scrounged from other kits I have.

I'm also entering this over at City Crafter for their "Vintage Christmas" theme!

See you later!
