"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

MAISIE TURNS 1 / SS #56 & BLD New Release Spotlight...

I've neglected to a scrap page of Maisie Grace's 1st birthday party for 9 months now... AND I'M SO GLAD! When I saw Lori's newest release at byLORIdesigns, the little "I'm One" Girl is SO PRECIOUS, I thought she'd be great to use on Maisie's birthday page!

I used a super cute kit from Miss Mis Designs for my page also, called Spring Fling, and one of her templates as well from the Tilted Templates set.

I'm also playing along with the Sketchabilities Sketch #56... a little modified of course...

Bye for now...

APLIN FARMS 2010 / SLOC #33...

Our family celebrated our 3rd year going to Aplin Farms this past Sunday afternoon, complete with a ride on a tractor-pulled trailer and finding the perfect pumpkin!

Maisie loved the sunflowers, the farm has huge fields of them planted next to the pumkins. She kept plucking petals off the giant flowers and would pop them into her mouth! Alex tried picking up different pumpkins, but would strain and grunt and then say "heavy!"...

I used the digital Nutmeg papers from Cosmo Cricket, sold through Jessica Sprague. This LO is from Sketchabilties. I know I didn't use a circle or add the blingy/flowery stuff on the left, but that's okay I hope!

Have a great night!

RECIPE FOR HAPPY BABIES / SLOS #32...

Since I missed the deadline for last week's challenge, I was motivated to get this one done early - lol! Helping add to my fervor was this new digi scrap kit over at Design House Digital by Sara Schmutz, called Autumns Kitchen.

This LO is based on the current sketch challenge over at Sketchabilities. I loved this kit, and unlike my usual style, I did use most of it for this LO, except for the ribbon, buttons & stitches. Oh, and the frames. All those were grabbed from other kits! Anyone have a good way of organizing kits? It almost takes me longer to sift through the ones I have trying to find that perfect "element", it almost makes me nuts!

Last night while I was cooking Maisie Grace dragged herself into the kitchen, crying. She isn't crawling yet, so she drags... what a sight! It's THE most pitiful thing you can imagine! Once I gave her some "toys" she was happy as a clam & of course Alex can't be left out of anything fun!

Have a great night!

P...is for PUMPKIN / CQC #7 & SLOS #31...

Well, I got so obsessed with this page I forgot to finish it in time to enter it into the sketch challenge I was using!

I saw a LO challenge called Sketchabilities a few days ago & tried like heck to get this page finished for it, but that's okay... I made the papers for this one, too. Maybe that's partly where I got hung up & then I had problems with a title.

There's a pumpkin patch we've taken Alex to the last couple years, Aplin Farms. We spend the afternoon and it's just so fun! I could spend many afternoons there! With October almost here, I figured I better get this out of the way, cause we'll be going & taking Maisie for her first trip to the pumpkin patch. Of course, in this pic I was 6 months pregnant with Maisie Grace. So she was kinda there too - lol! They'll be lots more pics this year, and I can't wait!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
