"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

BUG & ROO LEXIE / BLD Inspiration & CP #164...

Tuesdays are always a HaPpY day... because it's time for a new byLORIdesigns Inspiration post! Today I have used one of the new May Bug&Roo images, Lexie! She is so adorable with her little owl shirt! I want a shirt just like that! The two strips running across the back panel are washi tape - LOVE IT!

I used this week's Card Patterns Sketch. Simple is always best!

Be sure you go check out the other ladies' inspiration!

YOU MAKE MY WORLD GO ROUND / CTD #189, FTL #187 & CP #162...

Good morning! I have a quick card today, using one of my new Lawn Fawn sets, Admit One. How cute is this set? I thought it would to fun to layer the stamps, using the colors from the Color Throwdown, and the sketches from Clean and Simple Stamping and Card Patterns.  I slipped each side of the white panel into the edge of an embossing folder and just embossed the edges.

I can't wait until the kids are a little older and we can take them to carnivals~ I always loved them growing up! The 2 we had in our area were the Chicken Festival (long time gone now) and the National Peanut Festival, which is still going strong! We'll probably take them to that one in November. I love the Kettle Corn and the roasted ears of corn. We don't usually ride anything except the ferris wheel, though, all the other rides are too jerky!

Here are the challenge badges....

Have an awesome day!

TO THE SPECIAL COUPLE / CQC #134 & CP #162...

Time for another colourQ challenge! Love these colors! My cousin is getting married this weekend, so I was in a wedding card mood! I also decided to use the fab sketch from Card Patterns.

I'm keeping this post short, because in hindsight, I'm not sure I should have used this set. And please don't ask.... I'm afraid if I tell you I would then have to kill you. And I like you too much for that. LOL - but I CAN tell you that this is a new set coming out from Paper Smooches on the first! WOOHOO!!!

Have an awesome day!

HEY CUPCAKE / TPE #144 & CP #161...

HEY CUPCAKE! Ready for a new challenge at the Pink Elephant? This week we have an inspiration photo, so spring~y and beautiful! I was inspired to use the set Hey Cupcake from Alley Way Stamps, and do some paper piecing! I added stickles to the frosting. Strange - all my cards today have stickles! Hmmmm.... Anyway, The little banner is attached to a toothpick and stuck into the "frosting".

Here's the inspiration pic...

TWO HEARTS GIRL / DB #12 & CP # 152...

WHEW - Finally Friday! It has been a looooong week, and I am looking forward to lounging around the house in my PJs this weekend, oh - and Jeff and I are also going to a dinner theater tomorrow night - like a real "date"! I think I remember what that is!

We have a brand new challenge for you today over at Dilly Beans... "Seeing Red". I certainly hope you'll get a chance to play along with us! I used Two Hearts Girl, I really love not only the layout of this image, but her flowing hair & how it's framed. The ric-rac is glittered, I got it from Michael's at Christmas. I decided  to also glitter the 2 hearts.

I used this sketch from this week's Card Patterns Challenge.

Bye for now,

RUBY'S CANDYCANE / DBC #2 & CP #144...

Good morning! It's FRIDAY - YAY!!! Lots happens here on Fridays, and my first card is for this week's Dilly Beans Challenge, with the theme of "Twisted Christmas".  I used this adorable image, Ruby's Candycane for my "twisted" card. It's actually fairly twisted for me to use black on any of my Christmas cards - LOL! I stole a trick from Megan, the Silly Dilly Bean artist, and use a white gel pen to highlight the candycane and holly. I love that!

I also used this week's Card Patterns Sketch...

Hope you get a chance to play along with the Dilly Beans Challenge!

KATIE'S SMILE / Crafting Prayers for Katie & Family Fundraiser & CP #137 ...

Here's my final card for today, also using an image from the Crafting Prayers For Katie Bundle... it's called Katie's Smile. The papers are from one of the Lime Twist sets by My Mind's Eye. I'm actually on the phone with Lori telling her I need new embossing folders, I've been using the same ones over and over - LOL! Know a shop with a wide variety of embossing folders?

You can get your bundle by donating $15 here...

I based this card on the sketch over at Card Patterns.

Have an awesome day!

NEW BEGINNINGS TRIPTYCH / WFCo New Release & CP #102....

I did some doodling last week, a tree and then a seed and then another older tree... This image set is actually one of two - the other is the full trees and seed. Today I'm showing a card made with the New Beginnings Triptych and complimenting sentiments, Inspired Quotes, over at the Wax Fruit Company.

I was inspired by this week's Card Patterns sketch - it seemed too perfect! I did some digital paper piecing with Cosmo Crickets digital Nutmeg papers from Jessica Sprague. When I did my faux stitching I found that my white gel pen was not a happy camper... I had to keep banging it on the table to get the ink to come out! Anyone have a helpful tip to help me get it back in working order? I have 2 that are like that.... ugh!

It feels like spring here in southern Alabama, our high temperature yesterday was in the upper 60s... YAY! Not much stamping but a whole lot of playing this weekend! We took the kids to the park and we all had a blast with only 1 minor injury - lol! Here's a few pics....

Hope your day is awesome!

MUSHROOM GNOME / ADFD #11 & CP #100...

Our new challenge is up over at A Day For Daisies blog, the theme is "Heavy Metal Rocks"... use metal on your card! I chose to use some copper hardware! Tammy has also generously provided a freebie to use to play along!

Oh my gosh, I love this little gnome!!! Isn't he the cutest?!? You can find he and the rest of the new release here in the "Just Picked" section of the shop. I played along with this week's Card Patterns sketch, I loved the LO of the elements... too cute!

Hope you have an amazing day!
